Anyway Yedlin and now seemingly Bentaleb out the door can only help keep a space in the squad for the possibility of a late surprise. Not that I expect anything after GKN and Lopez but I imagine they want to at least have space in case something VDV like comes up at the end of the window.

Answer? Why not? It's the persistent asking of questions that got out of hand. We take the view that anything an ITK has to say, they'll say it, they shouldn't be badgered into fleshing it out to satisfy idle curiousity. That's a bad route to take because everything gets so over analysed, not to mention the self appointed Sherlock Holmes geniuses then putting their own spin on it. We've been doing this shit for a VERY long time now and if we've put a rule in place its for a very good reason and the reasoning behind the rule has been explained in here more times than I care to remember. But then again everything has.

Tests for short attention span syndrome should be mandatory before anyone is allowed in here

The Eriksen stuff to me makes it sound like the delay on the contract signing for the last few months has been because he's been looking to insert a clause/buy out/dreaded gentlemen's agreement that he can leave quite soon. Disappointing but not unexpected.

I read it more like we'd be moving him on next year. Guess it depends if you are a glass half empty or full kind of person.

But in that case why would we be offering him a new contract and have been waiting so long for him to sign it?

Also, why would we want to be getting rid of one of our best players?

My favourite bits of ITK were cabbages because it drove everyone insane and 'Gylfi' where we broke the news several days before anyone via the OP in this thread via the cunningly disguised use of the first word in each paragraph spelling his name. That eluded everyone.

There was also a cryptic that had people in a truck stop somewhere in Germany and there's also the legendary Keano's nan who deserves an honorary mention
