Coulden't we agree a deal with Celtic that we pay something like 20k of his wages for the next year just so we can get him off our books??

exactly, ive had the pleasure of receiving ( :snigger: ) info via PM from him for a while and i can vouch for him, top info and a nice fella, glad he's on our board

Are you sure you're not being Fazza'd?

Good ITK on Fab, but I won't start believing until I see him gurning away next to 'Arry in a lilywhite shirt. Remember Arshavin, Torres, etc...

More Valy:

keane is fussy where he goes...he has effectively cost us nothing, so what ever we sell him for is going to be profit, throw in the removal of his 60k a week and his ever decreasing value and it makes sense....

there's another aspect of this, remember.

Shirt. Sales.

Hmmmm....

So if Celtic managed to sell another 50,000 shirts (which is being very optimistic)

and we assume they make a profit of £20 per shirt (again very optimistic)

then they've got an extra £1m

Don't see that really helping with a £5m - £8m transfer fee and wages of £65k per week

Can't see Levy doing that in all honesty as a selling Chairman. It is the kind of move he might make as a buying Chairman. I think if Robbie wants to move to Celtic he will have to accept a lower salary.

Fabiano and a second striker (or Young) along with Diarra or Parker would prove to be a very good transfer window for us and the extra quality and depth these players would give our team and squad could really turn us into an outfit capable of challanging for the top honours THIS season.

Archibald on SO :

As Far as i know..

we wont do anything on Fabiano until Thurs as i posted last week. he is our Number 1 target although itsall down to £s and we have taken the risk of him being cup tied which is a shame but we would spend the money on a player of his quality if not in the Champs league

Diarra is our choice AFTER Parker and we are trying to force West hams hand while leaking the Diarra interest. O hara and Hutton may go the other way but poss naughton/Walker on loan.. They want a full back.

We will im sure buy at least 2 players if we qualify or not but it depends on the quality and as always whom we can out.

Thats all i know however of course others may know different

It was reported they got 9 Million for McGeady from Spartak.

Plus most of the shirts would have been sold the first time round. Oh, hold on. I know. They can add "IS A PERMY." on the end of Keane's name.
