If we signed Fabiano, Diarra, and Benzema I don't actually know what I would do, I think I would go in to shock. Would make us genuine title contenders

And this is exactly how Levy is selling it I would imagine....

i bet a few ITK's feel abit sick after hearing that press conference unless Levy's doing deals behind arry's back

adiepf has commented since that intervie with Harry, and he said Fabiano's still on. It's all getting a bit mind-fucky.

Gotta love Harry, you never quite know when he telling the truth...he states he knows nothing about Fabiano, he read about it in the papers a couple of weeks ago and hasn`t heard anything since.....

I remember when we signed Cudicini and it was after the Burnley game when we went through to the CC Final and Harry said, live on TV, that we had no interest in signing Carlo.

By the Monday he was being paraded in the kit.

It's more likely he says 'we're not signing so&so' and us signing them, than him saying 'he's not for sale' then selling him.

After he scores his third goal against Braga tonight, Fabiano's going to tear off his shirt to reveal a Spurs kit underneath, run a lap around then field, and then into the tunnel and go straight to the airport to fly to London in the greatest transfer revelation ever.
Then the ref chases him all the way London just so he can book him for removing his shirt.
Which makes us idiots. You don't spend 14 million pounds on a player with a thigh strain and let him play for another team. You just don't. Since I have to accept all ITK as the gospel truth, it means that Harry and Levy are out of their damn mind. If he gets injured, we're in a fucking nightmare scenario, where we are paying a ton of cash, his wages and still have to keep all our current strikers. It's insane.
What thigh strain is this? Was it from SSN? Not the best source tbh.

You also have to bear in mind that he is Sevilla's player. They're the ones in control. If they wanted him for the 2 Super Cup games and The Champions League qualifiers, then there's not much stopping them unless he throws a Mascherano. But he has spent 6 years with Sevilla, has much respect for them, and would more likely pull a Barry or Milner and do a job for his club.

As for those complaining about him now being cup tied and how we should have signed him before he was cup tied. Well consider this. The player might not have wanted to join Spurs until just recently. It may not be what everyone wants to hear, but the fact is, he has probably held out until now in case one of the top clubs in Europe come in for him. It was only last season AC Milan were chasing him. Instead it seems to be Marseille and Spurs after him.

Similar to how Huntelaar waited until late on while Spurs and Stuttgart? (I think) were chasing him. In the end AC Milan came in late and he got a bigger move. We have to bear in mind that we're on a similar level to Sevilla, so it could be considered a sideways step for him. Plus it can't be easy to decide to leave sunny Spain for England. This could be his last big move at 29 years of age.

Maybe the ITK is mislead. Maybe the deal will fall through. But maybe it is all true, Fabiano could be playing his last game for Sevilla, and he could be paraded around WHL on Saturday. Only time will tell, but it's not unimaginable that he is set to sign for Spurs in the coming days. It's certainly not crazy to have him play for Sevilla at the risk of injury. He could sign for us and get injured on his debut (Kenwyne Jones anyone?). You don't go into games worried about injuries. They just happen.

Unless he was carrying a serious injury of course. But a vague rumour that he could be a doubt due to a thigh strain is not something i'm reading much into. Especially when he has been an ever present for Sevilla last season, followed by Brazil in the World Cup, and pre-season for Sevilla. I don't see why we would worry he will suddenly get injured tonight. Not to mention the suggestion that he'll be cheaper if he gets injured tonight.

I've just been trying to find the video of him outright denying any move for cudicini. I can't - but needless to say he signed the next day!

Yeah, I was thinking about that too. In fact, someone mentioned it on the previous page. As much as I love Harry, he's the biggest fucking WUM since General Levy. Wouldn't trust a word of what comes out of his mouth, ever.

Sevilla out. Fabiano may be more eager to join now.
If a deal is agreed in principle with Sevilla, mark my words it will make the news. Roque Santa Cruz's transfer from Man City to Lazio (I think) was recently agreed in principle and is now in the news.
What if Sevilla don't want to announce it or even conclude it until they sign a new striker? I believe they were closing in on a new striker recently. Could it be that they're waiting to conclude that and announce it to the fans before revealing the loss of their star striker?

I'm sure that's why we didn't sell Berbatov until late in the window, because we wanted to announce a replacement first. I believe it was Arshavin being lined up to replace him, yet it went on and on and never happened. So we ended up announcing Pav, then selling Berbatov on the final day of the window.

I do not normally believe ITK info, until things really start hotting up. In this instance I believe adiepf though, he just seems very confident and is very accurate in his info for him to be wrong about it.

Been thinking and mil1lion makes a good point

its possible that Barca could sell Zlatan to Milan and buy Fabiano as a cheap alternative. BUT he is cup tied so I doubt it. I fail to believe Barca would be discussing a sale of Zlatan without a backup in mind.

BTW can I point out things are looking BANG tidy at the mo. Samp and Braga look to be going through, which makes the Zenit game irrelevant so as long as we qualify...we are 2nd seeds!! NICE!
