Samba?

Are you telling me, Harry and his legion of super scouts can find a CB across the whole world who would represent better value than Samba who would cost £8m+

Forlan reminds me of Tevez in a way.

I'm not saying Forlan is better, but he is a busy forward like Tevez is. Something we certainly lack up front.

The fella can finish as well, decent with a free kick. Could do a lot worse in my opinion, one thing we really struggled with last season, was simply hitting the back of hte net.

I don't know what kind of fucking marquee signing people expect us to be able to get, but Forlan is SO much better than any of our current strikers, and is still quality despite his age and poor form. A fresh start to prove himself in england could be exactly what he needs! He is quality. Simple as

I hope you didn't misunderstand your mate Shanks.

Perhaps he'd just seen four naked cyclists heading in the direction of the lodge whilst arguing with pedestrians as they rode past.

Four Lanhs on the way to the lodge

I'm not telling you anything dude, I didn't even know what Samba he was talking about :)

If Bassong is off, would be decent, premier league experienced cover though I guess. We aren't world beaters by any means and can only offer Europa league.

If Crouch could go, I guess it isn't beyond the realms of possibility we have a brand new strike force next season?

He was the last one I expected to be sold.

As I said yesterday, I would much rather we went for Scott Dann over Christopher Samba - yes he'll score the odd goal and make a good block or two but his positioning is poor and i'm sure he'll be wanting starting berth and likely to be above Kaboul in the CB pecking order - not good!

Is it the sound of you missing the point, nedley? In the quest for a Premiership experienced centre-back - 27 isn't exactly old either - is the perfect supplement to our squad.

It would also stop him scoring against us; unless he has a 'Jamie Carragher'.

As I've said before, this is all part of a master plan to pair Samba and Crouch up front, we will make history with a partnership like that

I'm not questioning your ITK.

I'm just stating my opinion on Samba.

A man mountain on his day, but in my opinion we already have one of those in Dawson.

Im not a huge fan of Samba but positioning its so obviously one of his strong points
