Because ITK has said that ”the big name” has not been mentioned by media.

Also, I'd expect any second signing to be one for the future, not another Moura magnitude move. Barring VDV level silliness anyway.

Personally i have suspected we have been keen on him for a while and he would be an incredible signing. But as we have had no itk on him i would keep your thoughts to yourself. I think mods will be cracking down on unlinked guessing building up to deadline day. Not trying to be a dick just trying to help you not get booted.

If we are getting Moura and Kovacic this window i'm getting a framed picture of levy to put above my bed. Imagine waking up to that bald, beautiful head every day.

Everything is pointing towards Lucas being at the line so hopefully we get that over the line, but I can’t help getting excited about who this mystery ‘big’ signing is. Unless it’s Bale, which I highly doubt, I feel like it’s not someone we have been linked to.

Surely there are times Levy can see the benefit in paying extra few million to have player in on time to play next game which is massive for us.

I think DL looks at the long term, fortunately. It's the short term view that stuffed such clubs as Leeds and Newcastle.

Respect to Fulham. It’s a win win for them anyway. Barring serious injury his price is only going to increase.

We will have a chance in the summer if Fulham miss out on promotion. If they go up he will prob stay as a good season in the premier league sends his price into orbit.

I suppose an ’educated guess’ doesn’t really get the same treatment as trying to solve a cryptic? Naive and wishful thinking. In honesty would be happier if we didn’t find out who the mystery player is for posterity. Never know what can happen in the summer.

The 'no ITK' bit actually ties in with the ITK that we're after a player who hasn't been linked. I can dream.

Lots of people seem to think Hercules second player for this window is a CM, but he did mention earlier in the window that we had someone who played in Barkley's position lined up for the summer. I can't see us signing a CM now and then another AM/CM in the summer.

I think the CM guess stem from the idea that the player would walk into the first XI - right now the only position where it is easy to imagine a player walking into the starting XI is CM.
