My utterly overriding concern is that Poch is properly backed this summer. I may not agree with the players we sign but I don't care as long as Poch gets who he wants.

As it stands right now he is absolutely NOT being backed.

His new contract isn't worth the paper it's printed on if Poch decides he can better fulfil his ambitions elsewhere.

You can then put Kane, Eriksen and Lloris etc who will start looking elsewhere if we don't show we can take the next step because of a lack of ambition in the market.

It's posts like this that make me want to go outside and breathe. Nothing against the ITK poster, but Pochettino isn't an idiot and has been around football long enough to know that things don't always go to plan, and has been at the club long enough to know whether or not he's going to have a chairman who works with him or against him. In the same way there's been no suggestion that we're suddenly going to be signing Carlos Kickaball for £80m or any major upwards change in transfer strategy, there's nothing to suggest we're in meltdown or unable to sign players. The window isn't closed and isn't closing for a while yet. Everyone chill.

No offence but what's the point of this type of post. Like you said it's opinion, not info but it'll only take a couple of hours to become gospel and "but Hercules said.." and then the thread gets locked
So because he’s ITK, he must be reduced to regurgitating what he hears without ever being allowed to express his opinion?

If that’s the case, there is no point in sharing anything

Completely agree just because he is ITK doesn't stop him being a fan like the rest of us with his own opinions on what he wants the club to do/what they should do.

I doubt he will be happy, but what I don't understand is if the players Poch wanted have been put out of our reach, de Ligt, Martial what do you expect us to do? because why will Poch be happy if we purchase players he doesn't really want

I think the "being brave" for me in this transfer window, meant that we went all out to get Poch his signings "Liverpool" style, pay over the odds if we have to.. We were never going to sign these players otherwise. If we were never going to do that then Poch should never have been under any illusion that we would.

If poch wasn't happy then that press conference would be the perfect time to heap a bit of pressure on to get things done. I know he's a very professional man but if he was frustrated then something would have come out. Lets see if that changes the next time he's interviewed.

Sometimes I think we're more like Arsenal than Spurs these days. If we don't show ambition this year then we may as well abandon the new stadium, move into the Emirates and carry on doing the same old thing Wenger was doing in his last few years. In the meantime Poch will piss off and Wenger may as well slip into the driving seat.

Audere est facere my arse(nal)!

You don't know that that's not apart of the tests

The only thing him training at Villa will do test wise is test our patience! Come on Daniel stop fishing for Marlins or whatever the hell it is your doing on Uncle Joes boat. Stop sucking on those lobster tails and bring me enough news so I can get back to my 9-5 and hopefully just about avoid getting sacked!
