Let me add to my post-Educated opinion, based upon information I am privy too, and shared privately.

Not making me feel super positive....

If he doesn't feel we're progressing, he'll leave at the first opportunity of a 'bigger' job next summer - could be Utd or Madrid or something where he feels properly backed.

Just think of the bad will created by signing a new deal (presumably on the basis of commitments on player purchasers), turning down Real and then getting screwed over.

I guess we'll know more in the coming days

Herc said yesterday that Levy would have a decision to make if Grealish isn't announced today but I don't really get why that is, surely if Grealish is at as advanced a stage as is suggested, the announcement being delayed would have very little bearing on dealings?

Unless all matters were agreed, apart from some aspects of the fee. Maybe they've upped the price following the cash injection?

Not backing him? Thought that was obvious no?

It's 'obvious' if you spent an undue amount of time panicking about it and drawing whatever conclusions you like from silence. The window is still open. He's had a number of his squad rewarded with new contracts. He and his staff have new contracts. Just... relax :)

I think the "being brave" for me in this transfer window, meant that we went all out to get Poch his signings "Liverpool" style, pay over the odds if we have to.. We were never going to sign these players otherwise. If we were never going to do that then Poch should never have been under any illusion that we would.

as I've said before if we had 3-4 targets and a budget, then over paying on 2 meaning we don't get the chance for the 3rd or 4th choice. Liverpool not only have their own budget, but also still have a lot of Coutinho money over. By the sounds of it they over pay agents, Levy won't, those fees I believe are on top of the transfers.

I defo enjoyed this window more when people were genuinely optimistic to the point some thought we'd be able to bring Bale back :ROFLMAO:

Might be wrong but I think Herc also said the price injection won't have much impact on the deal itself
