Lavezzi's goal scoring record is hardly great and at only 5 foot 8 isn't doesn't appear to be a #9 that we should be looking for. Maybe some of our Italian members could tell us more about him but from what I have read he maybe a Suarez type of player. (That's only from reading articles about him and not from seeing him play live.) :shrug:

Is Lavezzi a wing forward? Fast?
It seems like we're definitely setting up for a 4-2-3-1 next year and looking for someone to play out on the attacking wings that will get more goals than Lennon and perhaps Bale. Gervinho, Lavezzi, or maybe even Gameiro could fit in that role?
Then it looks like we're looking for a couple #9s with one experienced (a Drogba) and one youth (a Leandro/Lukaku) with one of Crouch/Pav to stick around as a "safe" backup.

The Lavezzi agent quotes have been knocking around since this morning (for the record).
Also on Elmander - think its all but decided he's off to Gala. Can't believe Bolton have let him slip through their fingers for nothing after spanking £10m on him.

Not seen much of Lavezzi but thinks he plays more as a number 10, don't think he ever plays from wide, might be wrong tho.
Guess Harry could be thinking more VDV from the right next year (makes sense with the width Walker will provide) in a 4-2-3-1 then poss Lavezzi behind the main striker.
If were to play 4-2-3-1 we really need to have goals in the side, something Lennon don't provide as much as I rate him in a 442.

marvel just posted in the Lavezzi thread that he's set up 14 goals this season. So more of a provider than finisher.
