I think we have plenty of creativity. It will just take some time to get injured players back and up to speed, and for new signings to adapt to the League and the rest of the team. Most of our creativity comes from the wide positions but our central midfielders can pick out a great pass too.

The "we need more creativity" line bores the hell out of me. It seems to be the go to line when we're not performing at our best. When people talk about creativity they appear to be talking about playmakers like VDV. Creativity comes in many different forms though. It doesn't always have to be tiki taka style sweet on the eye football.

Now I wouldn't say no to another VDV type but I don't think we need one to be successful.

Ozil definitely won't come here, Mata probably wouldn't. Regardless, it is imperative we get more creativity at CAM. Absolutely mandated. What we have is good enough for maybe top four. One player could see us comfortably top four, disappointed to not at least have a look at the title come March.

We need Coentrao very badly, in my opinion. How many times has Rose found himself completely free in the final third, only to deliver a poor pass or cross? He is a very good squad player, but he'll be a liability against the top sides with really good wingers, and he's wasteful going forward.

Lamela, Coentrao, Eriksen, and Chiriches.. Virtually zero net spend after selling Bale. Completely doable.

Soldado's pens are really papering over the fact we're not involving him one bit. I reckon he had 20-30 touches today? Nowhere near enough. He didn't have one chance in open play today. I can't wait for us to get a player in who actually attempts through balls to him.

I disagree.

We lack pace out wide, we are cumbersome (to be expected of course) in the middle, and look incapable of unlocking defences with subtle flicks.

We lack ingenuity.

He was onto a good thing at the scum & city but he decided to tear it all down

Bottom line is that he is no longer wanted at the club and he wages are an issue moving him on.

But its up to him where he decides to go not us. If he doesn't want to go to Turkey, then he doesn't have to. Its his career at the end of the day.

I don't disagree at all, and he is looking somewhat isolated - but to put touches into context, Van Persie made only 24 passes against Swansea, I think we're so used to Defoe making 6 passes in 90 mins.. - I'd kind of like Soldado to be banging them in rather than wandering off into Adebayor channels land all day - but then we need someone making those touches and through balls further up the pitch, like you say. So hope Lamela lands soon!

But you can't just rely on Holtby, we need another player like him or better than him.
