Poch expects really 4. I feel good, goody, as insiders believe in the bag. This includes back -ups.
Thanks Herc. Sincerely hope you are right. Not a lot of time left to make these deals happen and we seem to be very hung up on fees and obstinate other clubs.

Would Sancho be considered in that 4? He's more for the development squad but could still play a part. Otherwise what it's Foyth (but he's only 19), Aurier, Barkley and one other (Sessegnon maybe or is he still another for the development squad?) or maybe a surprise. Too many possibilities. At least the final week will be interesting.

At a minimum Aurier, Barkley and Foyth hopefully.

To be fair, with these 3 and Sanchez, this could be a very good TW. It is only because of the rumours about Sessenon, Sancho and Martial, that we might somehow feel unfulfilled if none of these is forthcoming.

True but I could never buy the Martial rumours

I think it would be a good window. 'Very good' would have to contain augmentation of our forward line.

Delusionally hoping Foyth isn't one of the three as it'll mean not bringing in the type of player in my opinion along with a RB our squad is in desperate need of.

It's gearing up to Barkley becoming extremely close to signing in days leading up to deadline. Then on deadline day we loan out maybe Sissoko, which gets our hopes up we have a pacey attacking player lined up then all that happens is Barkley is announced at about 10:30pm.

Yeah hopefully Foyth is only lined up if Wimmer definitely leaves.

Barkley as the only attacking player we sign in this window is not enough imo.

I'd say with CCV headed out on loan - Foyth will replace him in the pecking order. Sanchez takes the spot of the primary back-up, and starting 3rd CB. And Dier is still available in an injury crises - which would free up Wimmer to leave if he so chooses - does not sound like we are pushing him away.

With all the talk about Keita and other attackers, I would think we would bring in one besides RB. However, Poch always seems to get the best out of his attackers after a year in the system. Janssen may be in line for a step forward, which would alleviate pressure on our top line guys.

(not looking for a reply!) You have to assume that's:

- Aurier /other RB
- Foyth
- Barkley
- Sancho (hopefully)

Would be happy with that given where we were a few weeks back

Foyth is 99% done imo. Doesn't have anything to do with Wimmer

Doubt sancho would be one. He'd be considered an academy signing.

nothing too interesting or new
hertyid on sancho: We tried as part of Walker deal apparently. Was holding things up so decided to pursue separately. Player definitely wants to come, and fee not an issue. Must be something else going on (if the journo is right).
