Wouldn't say that was the reason. Fact is they can afford to buy literally any player for that position in the world. They don't need to buy an out of favour player who has had his fair share of critics in the media, but Poch likes him and he helps out with their home grown quota. In fact if it wasn't for that home grown quota, I doubt they'd even be giving him a chance, Poch or not.

Our best hope is he goes back to France has a good few months and they sign him, or he at least does enough to get others interested.

Well, if he wants to stay there he should be motivated to show his worth.

This is an example of what I mean. We ask no aggregators and I think that's pretty clear but someone will always think some site or another should be an exception. It's all so wishy washy now and it'll slowly get worse.

No idea. But more concerning is that people are slowly starting to post more and more 'sources' that wouldn't get anywhere near being considered 'ITK' which makes this thread largely pointless. It could easily have gone in the player thread.

This thread is slowly getting more and more diluted and isn't far off just being a spammy post anything you like thread, indistinguishable from any of the player threads. It's actually now more repetitive media stuff than actual proper ITK.

I'll probably give up on this section of the site after this transfer window, someone else can fire into it.

We tried to make it as simple as possible.

Is it a real media company (BBC, L'Equipe, etc)?
Is it a real person (a known journalist, a recognised ITK, etc)?

Take a look in the ticker if you're not sure. @chrissivad is doing an excellent job in summarising the sources (some of the recent ones being nbcsport, l'equipe, AllyGold, Romano, etc).

Anything else is pretty much some bloke on the internet copying/pasting from one of those or making it up. Those sort of things can go in the player thread if they really must but there's not much point posting them in here.

Nope, I don't think we've ever said that but we'd probably expect a decent translation of it.

I've had a recurring monthly donation set up since the summer, it's very easy to do if you haven't got one already.

Each month when I see it leave my account, I feel a small sense of pride that I've helped support keyboard-trained monkeys lobbing virtual lumps of cack at one another ? much better value than the TV Licence.
