I think you've got that wrong. There will be a facelift for White Hart Lane overground station, but there are no plans for a new tube station. The cost of that and extending the Victoria Line accordingly would be massive, and isn't part of the stadium plan.
And improvements to the area, while I'm sure are well meaning, are largely cosmetic and simply exercises to meet our section 106 obligations in building the stadium and ensure we get planning permission and the financial and general backing of the various local and national government bodies. We're talking the building of a Sainsbury and a hotel, plus a few low-cost houses, not full-scale social change to what is, lest we forget, one of the most deprived and impoverished areas in the south of England.

You've seen detailed plans? A Town Planner by trade ? Know passenger numbers on tube v overground?

Thought not

ideal scenario ?

* big investment / takeover with 100/150m+ available to new manager
* Pep already done, the job sold to him as blank chequebook 'project'
* Pep and has already been earmarking players behind the scenes
* Modric decides to stay as will be playing for one of the great world managers
* Stadium investment sorted as part of the main investment
* Spurs fight for title next year under Pep Guardiola's charge

its all technically possible, but then again so is time travel

So Ladbrokes fancy taking some money on Pep off naive Spurs fans, who'll believe anything they read, then...

And then Messi comes out and says that as a child he was always a Spurs fan and demands Barca sell him for 10m + Jenas.

Does anyone ever travel to Northumberland Park station? Every time I am there I can't help noticing the f**king massive Underground maintenance yard just behind it - you know, the bit with all the tube trains on it - the one that runs on a spur out of Seven Sisters tube on the Victoria Line - that one . . .

Now, if only there were some way of getting people onto the trains there . . .

If that is not a ready made tube station which would enable the regeneration of the area and fit with all of Uncle Boris's plans to make London a spiffing place to live, I don't know what is!

The media would go absolutely bonkers if we announced a club takeover and Pep as new manager along with a few signings at the same time lol.

Sure they would. Spurs sell out club to foreigners, get untested coach and a bunch of players Arsenal weren't interested in. :D

Ok so how about we are forming a Joint Venture with AEG, a sort of merger with LA Galaxy. Levy will not give away any equity and AEG will want a ROI so creating a new much larger jointly owned broader entertainment business makes sense. We then have enough capital to be able to build the stadium debt free (relatively) and be able to compete with the other mega clubs around Europe transfer wise. The additional revenue from concerts that AEG can organise and take revenue away from the Emerates makes the business more powerful. Retaining equity means Levy still wants lower cost young players with sell on value which is possibly why we have been buying players without announcing them. We have been doing this before announcing this mega merger plan to keep player costs down. Just an idea.

I think even Harry would have to say 'yeah, fair enough' to that!

All the more reason that it would be odd to do it on a Sunday.
