Jacob on COYS has explined his STORM cryptic:
Was Ade & Lass.

Took it's time in coming.

STORM referred to the upset that two former arsenal players could cause with the fans and also Stars of Real Madrid (st o rm). Sorry if I was a bit creative for some with the word 'stars'.

Some people asked why I kept It cryptic. Back when I first posted on 30th July their names were not being banded about the press as they are now.

Everything passed on in good faith. Sorry it's frustrating for some, I can only pass on what that he I feel won't compromise me personally.

Hope you guys ready for a racey few days.

Probably just me, but does anyone else think Jacob explained one cryptic with a message that contains another cryptic?

POTL was certain about "yellow" and subsequently confirmed that he was talking about Rossi.

Could Jacob be making a reference to Valentino Rossi the MotoGP rider?

Personally, i don't believe Rossi will now come because of Villreal's involvement in the CL but that doesn't mean Levy will give up the pursuit until the very end.

I'd still expect a very significant amount of money to be spent though. If Lass is done today is it at all likely (fitness permitting), he'd be available for Sunday? Seem to recall by certain o'clock on the previous working day...

I'm sorry but if POTL claims yellow is Leandro then that is a massive cop out.

1-our interest in him has been very public, why go cryptic
2-he said blue and yellow would make modric want to stay, that doesnt point to leandro
3-were we interested in leandro in january or did our interest start this summer (can't remember)

POTL never confirmed yellow was Rossi, a lot of people seem to be suggesting this, but the confusion was caused by a hypothetical wishlist post on here. I can't remember who it was but they said something along the lines of:

I hope in the next few days POTL says (and then they put the following in a quote bar):

"Of course Rossi was yellow"

He actually never said anything of the sort.

Oh I see, brilliant, i don't think i saw the original post just a snippet that made it look like a POTL confirmation.

I still believe he was talking about Rossi due to the way he said blue and yello would be signings that make Modric want to stay.

POTL has said that we have held interest in Leandro since way back to our interest in Sandro.

I was under the impression that he had signed a new contract. Did Archie actually say that it included an option to buy? I can't find this quote anywhere if he did. I would expect the ITKs to come out in the next few days and confirm options to buy on both the loan deals.

Sorry, I've found it now, it's in the player thread:

Archie: 'its only a loan due to something to do with work permit
(or work 'contract' as he later said)'

Then when questioned about whether work permits are needed within Europe:

'thats what i thought but somethin to do with work contract... i honesly dont get it but should be lon to perm'

Finally, the option to buy has been confirmed on the Juventus website.

Levy once said that we never take loan players unless there is a permanent option. There's some suggestion that Fraiser Campbell was otherwise, but that was more an emergency loan rather than a strategic one.

As City seemed to be the one pushing for a permanent transfer anyway, I'd say there's a very very good chance there is. Maybe less so with Yago, but who knows.

What the loans mean though is that we've filled 2 of our 5 target areas, without spending a penny on fees. So all the more money left for Diarra, a RFw and a CB.

I'm always surprised by the dearth of ITK following a game, would have thought the Corporates and Lounge deals were ideal for the spread of boozy chat about transfer deals.

Surely matchday is the best opportunity for ITK harvesting?
