We wouldn't spend more than 5m on Parker.

This is clear.

Im stunned to be honest. He said he wasnt fit to lace Modric's boots. Hardly awe-inspiring words for a new signing. Im wondering whether the Goons have forced our arm though, seems strange that Harry should beleive that we werent in for him but Arsenal were.

My source has been told hudd is goin nowhere harry thinks he is goin to be a big player for tottenham for years to come and coachin staff agree! Tbh i was told last week and i didnt post saying this becoz people had already said it but the people to leave and people to come in mite be

Out. In

Pav. Surprise striker
Gio. J cole
Jenas. Parker
Wilson. Diarra
Bassong. Scott dann
Hutton. No one to replace him
Bentley. No one to replace him

And they mite let kranjar go if a big bid comes in.

do you think we could end up with Parker & Diarra ?

Thanks! oh wait...

Thought it was just me who got us mixed-up

Would he? He's on big wages so let's imagine a 4 year deal at 60k a week. Suddenly the little expense is 12 million pounds and by the time it is done, he's 34 and unsellable.

Now, I will admit that the number I just used is best guess. Also, the deal is an assumption. But at 30 Parker is not looking for a short deal. But even 3 years at 50k/w is still 8 million. And that's before we work out some form of compensation with West Ham

But as an upgrade on say Jenas it looks a bit different doesn't it? Sell Jenas for £5M. Buy Parker for £5M. Net outlay £0. Jenas wages £40K. Parkers Wages £60K.

Obviously the figures are made up but it's a more reasonable way of looking at things in my opinion.

Whats this? When did he say that? I thought that quote was about Henderson?

SO are you losing faith with this window yet or do you still believe we will get the targets harry wants or are you just happy we got A striker in

Lace the boots was about Henderson.

Ryan - Agree on the Arsenal forcing our hand.

It's gone very quiet on the ITK front this arvo. I was expecting a bit of a busier day to be honest. Nothing about on the other sites?

Not sure if this is already out there but my WH mate reckons the Parker deal is £5 million and two season long loans. He isn't sure who the players are but I see Livermore has been mentioned.

WH haven't replied as yet.

No people dont understand.

I asked my boss to see if he thought we would go back for Parker he said that as it stood Arsenal were interested in him, but we werent. I was asking in relation to Modric being sold and was told that Parker wasnt fit to lace Modric boots.

Just passing on and all that but seems very strange. I wonder if Harry was in fact pissed because we wanted Parker but Levy was not prepared to give it a go, so Harry expected that he would join Arsenal instead?

I think people are confusing info with an interview that Redknapp did. In a Sky interview or wherever he said Henderson had gone for a bit less than what Chelsea were offering for Modric and that Henderson wasn't fit to lace his boots.

ryantegan then gave us some info the other day in which he had asked Harry if Parker was a replacement for Modric and he answered along the lines of him not being fit to lace his boots.

That's still a consierable amount cheaper than Diarra though so the overall differences, including sell on fee, may not be that great.

I suspect that Levy will only do this on a short-term deal though, or with a very low initial cost/wage.

a years loan has got to be the best way forward for all parties - it enables Parker to keep his salary and get back into the PL- it allows west ham to retrieve their best asset if they make it straight back up - and it allows DL not to have to veto it because of no sell on and four/five years of big wages

it probably is, but i just hate loan deals, can never warm to the players the same, and i always remember frazier campbell all laughing and joking with utd players after they had done us at the lane

I can't remember where but I remember reading that redknapp wanted to get rid of some the CM and have less CM but more quality and have youth there as well

On kumb (shiver) they all want parker gone, due to his wage and they feel they could bring more players in who would make the team better. Cant see it myself, he is a quality player who lifts them theyll struggle without him imo. Would love to see him in our team. Along with Diarra though...
