Of course mate.

AvB has targets, think he wants some ghosts of Porto past.

Who will pay their wages?

Will levy relax the wage ceiling while we still have a 36k capacity? No

Will Falcao accept 70-80k a week? No

Don't want to come across as victor meldrew but these sort of signings would require a 100% u turn from levy on wages

JJSet possibly indicated that today when asked about whether he liked many smaller birds or one big bird and his reply was one big bird.

Spurs have aimed high for top strikers for several TW's so not sure your info helps - until there is demonstrable ITK on actual targets coming in (not just being approached) which are realistic to get - anyone can say 'we have approached Falcao' or whatever. Sorry to sound negative - but nothing really new in your ITK

That was a joke mate!

I'd like to see Livermore out on loan. It'll get him more playtime and I'd like to see him develop at Swansea. Would prefer if we kept Caulker.

Delighted with Sig. Happy with AVB. Any word on his assistant?

Now, when we say ghosts of Porto past, are we talking 2004 Champion's League (which would overlap with the rumours on Carvalho), or 2011 Europa League winners (Moutinho & Varela seem more likely than Hulk, not even going to mention Falcao) or a mixture?

Akquayid how realistic/unrealistic is Falcao or Hulk?

I personally think it will be Moutinho

Will moutinho have better offers after, what I personally think has had a cracking euros? Maybe?

But let's hope it's sold to him already. I'd like to think that AvB has been spreading the gospel of THFC the past fee days/week

There was strong ITK that levy had sounded out Mourinho about who should replace Harry and that he recommended AVB, an endorsement from the greatest manager of the modern era if not of all time is good enough for me.

At Chelsea he had half the squad against him because he dared to drop the likes of Drogba and Lampard, he had a chairman who has fired more managers than Jesus Gil, he had a chairman that is heavily influenced by the old guard

The results were reasonable from AVB, not spectacular but a damn slight better than Fergie managed in his first season at Utd or Wenger managed in his first season at arsenal but both were given time

AVB will be a great manager for us, supportive chairman, players that aren't ****s, he will do fine

makes me laugh, you guys banging on about old guard!! hes a football manager, that had players at his disposal that quite honestly, with a mix of experience should of done well!! he failed im afraid, back four was useless, decision making was useless, substitutions were shocking to the point of my grandma was scratching her head...and as ive just posted in avb philosophy, luiz was an absolute car crash waiting to happen under avb, but was a decent player under di matteo....coaching the back four basics, he failed....im truly sick and tired of the babling about the old gaurd, its an excuse to convince yourselves, he's the right man!!

Akqayid thanx for sharing and I have no doubt your posting in good faith information your source is giving you, but common sense tells you we are in no position to attract/sign the likes of Hulk/Falcao/etc. We may be able to afford the fee but NO WAY the wages they would demand. Tbh we are not even that attractive option to these players as we have NO CL thanx to our collapse last season. If your source had said L.De Jong/Wolfswinkel/Niang/etc then it would be far mpre believable and realistic too....

I'm not THFC accountant so how can I answer such a question? :)

Who knows. But if we have investment.... Why not?

Oh no, I realised you weren't being serious. The wankiness is entirely down to me. No need for smilies, I was just having one of my many senior moments.

Se,, I'm such a wanker, I caused you to needlessly type another post. I suck!

No need for the apology. You seem like a rather nice wanker, rather than the wankerish sort. (y)

The question posed to him was a classic pointless question often put forward by Chris Moyles, I don't think him mentioning his preference of one big bird compared to numerous small birds is one that should be read into too much, unless you're planning on giving JJ a bird based token of your appreciation

Totally understand and no offence taken. I think we ALL need to see past the wages, and look at how that can be achieved. Maybe, maybe it's more possible than we think, if investment is made

AVB requires quick defenders for his tactics

Terry and co were slow as cart horses, We have pacy defenders, the quickest rb in the premiership, BAE is no slouch, Kaboul is lightning quick, we have a back 4 more suited to AVB style of play than Chelsea had

So it isn't Falcao or Hulk were looking at?

Gotta love all this ITK, it really does sound exciting. New everything's for everyone.

I really hope it's not a false dawn this time around and some of these big things come to fruition. We kinda deserve a bit of goodness.

Thanks for the info on targets. On the investment point, are you expecting that based on your own sources or based upon other ITKs postings
