To be honest this window is an utter disgrace.
We are in a solid position to challenge for the top 4 or maybe the title with a settled squad and Levy has the audacity to think we can do this without providing a steady stream of rumour and information to this site with the strict proviso that everyone can dream of Falcao et al and rage uncontrollably when they aren't signed?
Would never have happened under Redknapp.

We knew sodlado was going in July, we wouldn't let Adebayor play for us again then, yet here in Feb we haven't found a single striker in ther world to come in. Shocking really

Who at the top level of strikers ( & a better finisher than Chadli & Son) can play in the Europa Lg, has not a vastly inflated price tag.. it's not ideal the situation we have been landed in however the mistake is not this transfer window, we messed up in the summer window & no amount of bitching & moaning will change that.. if you can't get your prime target in one window you have 2 options 1. Be desperate & do a Liverpool & panic buy, 2. Engage logic & do the ground work for future recruitment

Because we've been lucky with Kane maybe? He hasn't missed a single game through injury. We may get lucky for the rest of the season, we may not. To have no back up to Kane is shocking, with a potential 30 games left

I'm blaming both windows. I don't buy the don't get anybody in for the sake of it argument because we shouldn't need to do that. We've had two whole Windows to get someone in. And if you have to pay it bit more we may have to do that for getting into this position. Chadli can finish, but he's played one game as a cf. if he turns out to be great then happy days. But Poch only wanting Dembele if it's now not the summer suggest he doesn't think his back ups are right either

What makes you think it's only Dembele that was wanted? That one game Chadli wasn't left isolated & had Son & Alli often upfront with him

I agree with @millsey on this. The only difference is that I think the big mistake was not bringing another striker in the summer. Once that window shut it seemed incredibly unlikely that we would sign someone in January...we rarely do.

It's not just about Kane being fit, it's about being able to rest him from time to time so that he doesn't end up being run into the ground. I don't think it's a case of some fans being precious or just wanting us to splash the cash either. It's perfectly reasonable to expect a football club to have more than one official striker in the squad.

Yep. Last season he noticeably started flagging in the last quarter. He already looks tired this season, and we're still in two cup competitions.

Anyway, I'm not annoyed as I have zero expectations of any meaningful incomings by close of play tomorrow.

What are you 13? Poch doesn't own the club! He's not right on every decision! Do you think all the fans, all the media, all the ex players are just wrong thinking we need another striker in? That frustrating enough for you?
