Would rather have Sahin than Moutinho really. Might be i have just seen Sahin more, but believe the high price on Moutinho is better spent elsewhere. (strikers!)

Sahin also look better equipped for the EPL imo, good tackler and tracking back.

It also seems like players with a history in the bundesliga have no issues adjusting to the EPL, while players from southern europe/america often take some time adjusting.

please god no, he is not a good keeper! there is a very good keeper called Marc-Andre ter Stegen who plays with Monchengladbach, only 20 years old I think he would be excellent for us

I'm sure he would be the absolute nuts, but until there's some ITK on him he doesn't belong in this thread.

ye there is that. But the last few days we have been fed the potential modric to madrid for sahin + cash, and if there is any truth in this id rather Sahin just take Modric spot instead of breaking the bank for Moutinho.

Probably should take these stories with a pinch of salt, but this is the ITK thread afterall. The place to be for armchair managers;)

Some news from Croatian Source: Modric deal seems to be done soon. Modric already agreed terms of madrid. Bit sad for him because his Croatian Agents will get about 1/5 of his salary. Criminal.

But still no fees agreed. Tottenham want 45m€, demand 35m€+ Sahin, but Madrid won't do that. Lass Diarra is close to a Moskva move, could be a possibility though to be in that deal, but unlikely. So Madrid has to improve their financial bid, that is most likely point of now.

All I heard....

Ye probably where i saw it also, on the end there. 30m + sahin or something crazy! That would cover the fees on verts and Gylfi (if the deals happens) AND have something left.

Would tie him up and drive him to Madrid myself if that was the case:p

Oh right, they aren't keen on Sahin leaving? Why are they buying Modric then? I'll never understand Madrid. Ever.

Mourinho wants two class players on every position except GK. So Khedira/ Xabi , Modric/ Sahin...sick, but that is it. Modric as Diarra upgrade.

So Modric is close to moving to Madrid because he's agreed terms? That was always going to happen, thats the easy part. The difficult part is negotiating the fee and potential players involved. I'd hazard a guess that its nowhere near close.

Hope we don't sign Diarra for christs sake.

Ok, sorry for the infrequent posting and not coming back earlier. so a gym session and couple of protein shakes later with my man I haven't really got anymore in all honesty than what I have previously posted.

He is positive that certain investments have been discussed as there seems to have been a 'step change' at the top and the tops thinking.

In all honesty that's wanky agent/marketing talk, I know, I use it! But it was the way he said it and hat we spoke about after, it ended up with him reminding me of my words about five years saying you can shove your billions up your arse. Or words to that effect. There's the fact that it could just happen as were not listed anymore, and also it may not happen and all we'd know is leaks later on long after the process has past. But there IS something there.

He also said that Southampton are after two of our players, and there's some kid there (can't remember name, but about 14/15) who is in the bale mould, who we've looked at last season in youth games.

Poor lad, scraping by on 4/5 of a Real Madrid salary.
He'll have to get a paper round. Could pass for a paper boy quite convincingly...
