There was a report that they knocked Arsenals alleged approach back because they didn't want to loan him to another CL team, I pressume you can't play against parent club though in CL same as PL so not sure why it would be a problem?

Anyway, Aqkayid is right - you don't ask you dont get'. No one is saying we are getting him, I imagine that is highly unlikely but never hurts to ask! Now where's Ackie with his RM links!

That's right, in fact it was Morientes knocking RM out when on loan at MOnaco that led to this rule.

I thought clubs were only allowed 2 loans max per season ?

I think this is right but not 100%

Max of 4 domestic based players allowed on long term loans in a season
Max of 2 domestic based players allowed on long term loan at one time
Max of 1 domestic based players allowed on a long term loan from the same club in a season

This is from Football manager I'm afraid so not gospel. Can't find anything about forgien players on loan. But so far we have Ade on a domestic loan and Falque on a overseas loan. Freideil was free and we are buying Parker outright according to reports so think we have rrom still!

Hope this isn't true, or doesn't come to pass. Best days are behind him. So, we are not a selling club, but rather we are a club who rehabilitates players to their former glories? Makes us look like Father Ted and Chris the Sheep.

Not knocking anyone's info at all, just hope its a no goer. jermainedefoes 'it's going to be BIG' signing ITK late last night - would rather it be Ribery, or another striker, than Kaka

i dont know why people keep going on about kaka.. if he comes it only means one thing.. modric is going and thats not want anyone wants at all.. so please fact he msct be on a barrell of moeny as well can we please let it go.its getting boring now

type of big signing we need imo is a mata type signing. someone who can play anywhere across midfield and is very attacking. have no idea who though.

personally think our lot will be parker, ade and a cb

I think that Levy has sussed the financial advantages of the Loan deal. I doubt we'll ever actually sign a player again!!

If all these loan deals are true, does this point to Harry only being at Spurs for a shortend duration. Or is Levy playing safe over Harry going to prison in November?

No I think it has more to do with wages. We can't pay the wages of Adebayor or Kaka so need to loan instead. It might be like this until we get a new Stadium.

We can sign players like Leandro but established world class players will probably be on loan.

The Ade loan - not unusual, this young Spanish chap from Juve is a bit of a strange one must be something going on in the background about that.

The rest of these loans is speculation, id be suprised if we ended up with 4 loan players.

Kaka wouldnt mean the end of Modric they play different roles, it would be direct competition for the two wide lads and VDV (If it happened - queue salt).

That one is with an option to buy.

I like the idea of a few loans, some with options to buy. It's no lose really. If they help us get into champs league, they may either decide to stay on, or if not, at least we would be in a better position to attract top players again. It gives the club more control over finances, I.e. We'll pay smallish loan fees to the parent clubs of players such as Adebayor or kaka, but we don't end up selling the family silver to get into the CL a la Leeds. If we don't make it into the CL next year, the loanees go home and we've not got to worry about mahussive wages on Europa prize money. If we were to attract the likes of Kaka and still not qualify for the CL, we as fans couldn't really complain about the lack of signings if we had had Ade and Kaka in the team; the blame would lie squarely at the players' door. Win win for all I think whilst we're not in the CL
