come on seriously, kaka? you lot are actually entertaining this?

Its football and more importantly we are Spurs - anything can happen. Itys highly unlikely but stranger things have happened...On Sunday 6th Auguts 2000 it rained fish in Great Yarmouth in Norfolk!

The Ade loan - not unusual, this young Spanish chap from Juve is a bit of a strange one must be something going on in the background about that.

The rest of these loans is speculation, id be suprised if we ended up with 4 loan players.

Kaka wouldnt mean the end of Modric they play different roles, it would be direct competition for the two wide lads and VDV (If it happened - queue salt).
Aren't you only allowed 2 loans anyway?

That one is with an option to buy.

I read it exactly ther opposite - Juve specifically said it was a year loan, only - with no option to buy.

Well, I did initially...but then I realised that when the Messi deal goes through Kaka would have to sit on the bench. I'm not sure he would be happy with that so it might fall through

I love how random the window is. From Joe Cole and Craig Bellamy to Kaka. We'll probably end up with Marin. Someone who kind of falls in between.

I like the idea of a few loans, some with options to buy. It's no lose really. If they help us get into champs league, they may either decide to stay on, or if not, at least we would be in a better position to attract top players again. It gives the club more control over finances, I.e. We'll pay smallish loan fees to the parent clubs of players such as Adebayor or kaka, but we don't end up selling the family silver to get into the CL a la Leeds. If we don't make it into the CL next year, the loanees go home and we've not got to worry about mahussive wages on Europa prize money. If we were to attract the likes of Kaka and still not qualify for the CL, we as fans couldn't really complain about the lack of signings if we had had Ade and Kaka in the team; the blame would lie squarely at the players' door. Win win for all I think whilst we're not in the CL

Also think it has something to do with our difficulty of unloading deadwood and the 25 man squad rule. Teams are more willing to loan as they can't fit that player in their squad.

Wouldn't hold your breath though. We've had it nearly every year that I can remember, maybe he'll write us a nice letter like Rivaldo.

I remember that hope not a repeat from a potential big player

'Something' huge... to me means it might not necessarily be player related.

If it does happen to be Kaka (and i don't expect it is) then I'd presume we're playing him off the bench or dropping VDV... because they play the same position. Not that it's uncommon for Spurs to play someone out of position, in fact it's quite the opposite:roll:

I read it exactly ther opposite - Juve specifically said it was a year loan, only - with no option to buy.

"Juventus Football Club announces that Yago Falque Silva has joined Tottenham Hotspur on loan. The Spanish midfielder, born in 1990, joined Juventus in 2008. He will link up with the London based side until 30th June 2012, with the English club having an option to make the move permanent."

I think that's pretty clear - we have the option.

Fair enough.
I read an article, where the opposite was definitely implied. I think the phrase was It is not thought likely that Juventus would consider a permanent deal. Clearly, that was from some media outlet on NewsNow, so was hardly conclusive - just gave me, obviously, a certain impression.
Where did you take that from?
