Isnt it that any uefa competition rules that out? Same if we signed Fabiano?

Edit: Sorry if being thick but im not familiar with the uefa rules.

They can add one player who has only played in UEFA. Fabiano played in qualifying round of CL for Sevilla.

How much is Alexis Sanchez going for? I'd love to see him playing for us.

The suggestion is 25m euros.

My gut feeling is we have balls'd up this window too.

If ITK is to be believed then we have had quite a scatter gun approach by not
making a clear defined target.

Lets be honest VDV bought Arry/Levy sometime in not addressing our situation.

It wouldn't be a problem if we played like Barca and won 5-0 every match with our wingers and midfield all scoring.
Lennon cant chip in with 15+ a season, neither can Bale (even though he's giving it a good go)
VDV is in double figures, but he cant be setting them up and scoring them himself.
We DO NEED a 25+ striker and we have done since we sold Berba and Keane.

Yes Defoe,Pav,Crouch,Keane were good enough to get us 4th but they are not good enough to cement us 4th.

In matches when we need to be clinical we are severely lacking.....

v Man U
v Chelsea
v Wigan
v Man C

All games where we could have won with a bit more cutting edge.

I really hope the quotes in the press about our strike force 'being ok' are just words for the press and Arry knows we need to get the striker we all crave.

LM is the new RB. Almost makes me pine for the days of crossing everything I have for Martin Petrov as LM.

January is a very difficult window but i am now starting to get worried that we may end up with a panic buy.

VDV saved face in the last window but i cant see that type of signing happening again. I think im having a negative day.

Another window bites the dust. But hey, at least we talked to lots of players and got some decent time away from the Missus in Madrid.

It's a hard old window to sign players in, and we've struggled. If Monday passes without a striker, I'll be throwing my pram out the window. But 75% of transfer action in January seems to happen on deadline day when all the clubs realise they can't carry on playing mindgames and actually have to do the deals or wait 6 months. Selling clubs who need the money relent on their ridiculous prices, buying clubs trying to get players on the cheap get desperate and throw more money at the problem. I have no reason to believe this year will be any different - if anything it seems like there's more money that wants to be spent than there has been for a while. I think Monday's going to be a total write off for productivity but I'd be surprised if we didn't get a striker in at all.
