JJ:

Still looking like pool on Ings they also want Benteke too!

Cannot see Rogers being allowed to bring in Benteke and Ings while still having Ballottelli (his agent has confirmed he is staying) Lambert and Sturridge.

That ain't gonna happen.

They are spending too much money already on strikers who don't play either because of injury or Rodgers doesn't select them. I agree with you they won't go for both Ings and Benteke and may not not go for either unless some of the existing strikers can be shifted.

Why an earth are you guys getting yourselves into a flap about zings.

What we desperately need is more craft in the final third not more running around clucking.

He's a worker and he's got a bit of pace but he's not what any team in our position needs.

We need quality not just an attacking busy ****

If more "craft" means we turn down a goal every third game PL player who played in thirty five games last season in a relegated side i don't know who you would expect to get in the PL for twelve million quid?

We spent double that two seasons ago now, on a Carlos-Kick-A-Ball and he didn't run around or cluck.

To suggest that we don't need anyone with pace up front is quite honestly laughable. The most evident thing missing all last season was bloody pace, and even Stevie Wonder knows that.

That will only be Lambert, as i said Balotteli's agent has quoted this morning as saying that he is staying next season. Sturridge will be going nowhere, and i cannot see Ings or Benteke going to a club to share three or four starting spots?

Balotteli staying is one fact that i am fucking ecstatic about!

It's still very early in the summer, I'd be very surprised if Super Mario was there come the window shutting. They'll probably sell Borini too, so I can see them buying two strikers, especially if they are flush with Sterling... (see what I did there! lol)

It'd be warm and fuzzy to actually go away on holiday in close season, pick up the newspaper upon return just before new season and read that we've signed to Argentinian World Cup stars and there's a ticker tape welcome planned for first league game.
Ah, those were the days!

I disagree. I think we actually could use one speedy busy shit. Plus it's not like Ings doesn't have a brain.

If we're looking abroad as the most recent ITK says have to say I'm curious as to who we might be looking at. I reckon we'll be looking for a diamond in the rough considering that there doesn't look to be any well known quality available that would be within our reach.

Because most of us think he is one of the best 'gettable' cf's in our price range, especially one most of us are familiar with.

Who would you class as better that are attainable within our price range, bearing in mind that this is likely to end up another zero [or thereabouts] net spend window? and still leave us some money for other targets?

If what JJ says is true about overseas players I'd be a bit concerned.....Benteke, Ings and Austin are all proven in the league. Ok, Austin may not be a great fit for a couple of reasons, but one of the reasons our Bale money turned to dust was because we bought so many players with no Prem league experience. I know it's not that straightforward, for example Davies has prem league experience but has been disappointing etc, but would be good to buy proven players....early!

Balotteli's agent saying he's staying just means, 'you'll have to pay to get rid of him'.

I expect them to offload Balotelli, Sterling, Aspas, Borini and Lambert this summer.
That leaves them open to buying both Ings and Benteke.

I expect they'll sell Sterling to Citeh for £50m, buy Benteke for £30m +, and then we can get rid of Adebayor to Villa. Would work out alright for us...
