So we go from it being one big happy family to the start of the holidays and Lloris, Bentaleb and Rose all 'making noises' about playing elsewhere. Silly season?

He wanted to stay at Sunderland a couple of years ago.

Maybe he doesn't feel particularly loyal to us but then there's times we (as fans) haven't been particularly loyal to him.

If he went I think we'd be cashing out at the top of his value but then I'd be uncomfortable going into a season with only Davies.

Danny Rose off to a CL team?

Can't see it myself. He's had a very good season but a bigger one lies ahead.

Can see City being aggressive. We have no beef with them and they would undoubtedly pay handsomely to get a quality homegrown player, especially with Milner now leaving.

Sucks IMO. Have been very impressed with Rose's performances this season. Stunning turnaround though from Spurs scapegoat in a disappointing season to a year later likely to end up at Man City. Would hate to see him go, but good on him for the work he did in his improvement. Absolutely deserves it IMO.

Exactly. Don't blame him at all for not feeling a sense of loyalty to us. Guy was receiving copious hatred on social media last season and being moaned at on gamedays for even sniffing his nose in January.

Does he? One decent season and he suddenly deserves Manchester City and to ditch the club?

Ryantegan isn't ITK anymore.

Edit: We don't have to sell Rose and we won't. I don't know how one tweet, which Ryantegan has said is a rumour, means he is 'likely off to Man City'.

I don't see how some people reach these conclusions.

"Ditch" the club? The club whose supporters "ditched" and "dissed" him to pieces last season, tried replacing him, and he still stood up and gave full 90 minute battles in every single game this season, even when the rest of the side had given up? Yeah, I absolutely think he deserves the interest from City (although I'm sure it's exaggerated given their need for English players), and I don't think he's genuinely "ditching" us considering how poorly he's been treated by his own supporters at the club and the fact he stood up for the shirt anyway.

On Rose leaving.
@ryantegan theres a suggestion that he wants and expects to go

On losing his ITK source
@ryantegan I have. Just a rumour I heard. Time will tell but Rose wants out and expects to be sold is the rumor

On him being questioned
@ryantegan time will tell. But, again a rumor, but he don't think much of the club or our fans. HIS WORDS!

On how he would have heard this.
@ryantegan ask around those at Everton last game (where he was sat). Just a rumor but if you believe it then he is off

Would he start over Azpilecueta, Monreal, Rojo, or Kolarov?

Because he was playing shit - some of it was OTT but to leave the club after one decent season pisses me off. Not because I think he isn't replaceable or amazing but that he just leaves after one decent season. Doesn't deserve it after one season and isn't anywhere too good for Spurs. Obviously jumping the gun here and only applies if it's true.

OK so some people at the Everton game may or may not have heard Rose maybe possibly saying that he wants to leave. OK, firstly, I'm pretty sure no Spurs fans would have been sitting near Rose, and secondly, does anyone really believe that Rose would be talking about wanting to leave while he's sitting in a crowd, including many supporters. Yeah, I don't think so- I think someone is on the wind-up.

There's no real stories, so something has to be invented to fill the back pages/get clicks on websites

He does in training ever day apparently. He just has a psychological block about playing for us. It can be fixed, just like the Bale curse was.

The 'Bale curse' is the biggest load of bollocks in Spurs mythology. Bale didn't play badly during that period (apart from one poor performance against Everton), and there certainly wasn't any 'psychological block' that needed fixing. He had a small number of games under Jol, then picked up the bulk of his 'curse' games under Ramos, when losing or drawing was pretty common with or without Bale.

So he's supposed to refuse an undoubtedly lucrative offer and be held captive to a club whose supporters and hierarchy kicked him to the dirt and shit for most of his time with us? That is incredibly selfish. I'm not advocating it and I'll hate to see him go, but he a) deserves interest from City for his performances this season and b) doesn't owe us a fuckin thing after the way the club and supporters treated him last season. If anything, we're lucky he'll still be garnering us a massively overpaid fee from a desperate City after the way we treated him.

"Fuck you, you're goddamn awful and are a pathetic excuse for a defender."

One year later:

"Alright then, one strong season, that's decent. Now stay here another year with us and refuse that offer for Champions League, genuine title challenges, and a fat salary and entertain me."

Ridiculous.
