How do you know that there are not deals in place already? We've been told recently that the club is almost on lock down in terms of info re. transfers. Poch is probably abroad or on his hols. Just a little bit of patience. And after all we were told Poch was signing his new contract and it didn't get announced until at least a week later.

I simply typed my thoughts based on this ITK this morning!

ali z on emre can, and general: I think his class but doubt we are in for him, was expecting some movement early in the window was told we we were negotiating a deal for a £50 m CM ( don't have name) but all gone quiet, so probably not happening, but we deffo want 2 cm this summer.

So my point stands and has since been confirmed by Trix.

Same old for our transfer dealings, last minute, bargain haggling/hunting for us. Although hopefully we have stepped up a level in the kind of players we can afford and salary this year.

The 'all gone quiet bit' clearly relates to the '£50m CM' part and not the 'early movement' part to anyone not looking for something to moan about.

As trix said agents tell their players to wait before comitting in the hope of a better deal. We might still get them.

Whilst that's decent news I'm struggling to comprehend why we'd be after offensive players when the other two thirds of the pitch are in more need of strengthening. It just seems like money that could be better spent elsewhere

From Herc’s latest info, does this mean the CM signing will be a late one? Would have thought that’s priority no. 1 with Dembele already speaking with Napoli about a possible exit

Not really, that's two players in potentially the next two months and only 9 days before the end of the transfer window on the 9th August.

2 signings completed before August doesn't sound that early given that the window closes on the 9th August rather than the 31st this year.

The early indications I thought were that we'd try and bring some in before the World Cup. Looks optimistic now, but we've been linked with plenty of players who aren't at the World Cup.

The transfer window closes on August 9th so getting new players 'before August' wouldn't actually be a big improvement. They'd still miss a decent chunk of pre-season.

Seeing as the transfer window closes on August 9th, I would bloody hope we've brought in some players by August!!

Maybe you mean a different month? If we haven’t signed anybody by August, we won’t sign anybody - imo.

Sounds about right - we've consistently made signings in the first few weeks of July for a while now.

Well, so far I'd say you're about the only one, or at least in the minority.

The rest are bouncing about on their beds, cocks out, pissing on their mattresses. It's actually quite amazing.

What's worse and more worrying, is that some of them roam the streets freely, unsupervised.
