Parker is in no way, shape or form a "mediocre Redknapp signing."

He is. He is 30 years old, and he captained a team that just got relegated. I can't see any of the teams fighting for 4th spot to make such a signing.

I second that. Given that he is in the last year of his contract I am suprised there havent been rumours about him, especially when we extended Cudo's contract AND bought Friedel. We should offer him a new contract, if we havent already, cos it will be hard to get someone better IMO. Should easily be our no1. Can't see him wanting to sign now though.

Actually it's quite easy to get somebody as good or better for little cash. Keepers are the most undervalued players in the market.

My ITK said Harrys number one is now Friedel.... And that was always going to be the case as soon as he came.. Gomes knows this and is looking to go in january if he doesnt get a run of games.... or if we get a gd offer now!! We wont let his contract run down as we can still get money for him and DL wont let a player go for free if he can get some money back! Friedel has a gd couple of seasons left at the top so that is why we are looking for a young keeper to come in at number 2 to take over in cup games and get ready to take over from friedel when he does start to slip....

The thing is my ITK source told me we really need to get players out fast to get down to the 25 man squad rule and DL doesn't want to pay a player that isnt in the 25 man squad! so he is willing to take his asking prices down alot for players on high wages and other clubs know this! we have had alot of enquiries for our fringe players but our asking prices were sky high! but now DL realises clubs wont pay these prices and is now dropping prices drastically! and trying to send players on loan with options to buy. and we do wana bring at least 2 players in before the window shuts harry has even said it himself! so we need to sell ASAP....

Again, not wishing to cast doubt on any of your info, but your source must be EXTREMELY well-placed as not only does he/she know about potential target targets, but the inner-workings of Levy's mind, the relationship between Levy and Redknapp, Harry's selection policy AND the club's policy regarding transfers in general.

Why don't you state all this in your original post. I mean, you seem to have a lot of info, yet, questions are constantly asked, and you have to spend many posts answering and elaborating.

TBh i dont mind answering the posts i could do i suppose just as easy to answer the questions thou if everyone would prefer i could? upto everyone else if not i will just keep doin the same as normal.

That might be the hope Redknapp's clinging on to (I don't know which side your source comes from?), but the way it looks like it's shaping up to me is that Levy has stopped backing Redknapp and is subtly obstructing him from bringing in more future-deadwood.

To bring in 2 players, we'd need to sell 5. 7 transfers in 48 hours would break even the record SGE set when he arrived at City for rapid business. Levy's also very busy at the moment working on finalising the stadium deal ahead of the 1 September deadline for that.

My source is well place and has gd friends in the club also who are equally well placed in differnt parts of the club! thats why i get all types of Info and TBH the 25 man rule is known by all coaching/scouting staff and they know we have to sell players first! and for the inner workings of DL mind its easy im surpirsed u cant tell his mind reads like this

would also suggest that DL'd usual game of 'who blinks first' has failed this window, he is regarded as a nightmare to deal with and plays last minute.com with deals, this time it would appear that other clubs have called his bluff, sat tight knowing we have to shift our dead wood and know no were desparate to get shut. I find this incredibly frustraign as it now leaves us with so little time to finalise deals

We are currently at 28 players. The last questionalble one was Alnwick, who is not listed on the first team any longer on the OS. We have 3 U21's with numbers in Townsend, Rose and Walker. We have one that will turn 22 in November and will thus count on the roster in Livermore.

So we have to get rid of 3. 4 to buy 1, 5 to buy 2, etc.

We are not at the stage where somebody replaces someone else. We have to trim and the more we buy, the more we need to trim.

Doesn't seem feasible in the time left but you never know - deals for Bentley, Hutton etc may be almost upon us for all we know - just think some of the players will not budge - Jenas, Pav for example...

The journalist is not Wum but he is a part of another club and simply passing on stuff he heard about us

Could be right. It might be interesting to see what will happen if we are left with 28 or 29 players. I imagine GDS, Hutton and Bentley would be stripped of a squad place. After them, I would think Pavlyuchenko. The can always be loaned out to the lower levels after the deadline, but wow....what humiliation that might be.

We either have a lot of deals, outgoings mainly, all way down the line and ready to go over the next two days virtually or we've havn't managed to shift them and we'll see 3 out and 1 in (Parker) ...

I have a very nasty feeling about how this is all going to turn out now though.
