Well, Vucinic no longer an option, signed for Juve.
I really believed he'd be our man this summer, and I'd like to know the real reasons he didn't come to us when we appeared to have him.

Kaka, no thanks, even if he would come to us.
Benzama or Higuain would be pucker, but let's face it, it ain't happening...

Is that now official? (Vucinic)

Can't see it being Kaka. Go take another lug on your spliffs.

It'll be Benzama.

Why?

Because out of all the strikers in the world we're being linked to by ITK, he's probably the one that's least mentioned (if he has been at all). And that would fit in with how Levy plays his cards close to his chest.
ah! buts theres another one, that we have been linked to every window since glass was invented, that has been very quiet! if its a close to chest signing your after i'm looking a bit further along the med! (not itk)
edit.. there may be a sponsor connection as well! Hmmm!

If at last Juve have signed Vucinic, do you think its because Rossi's agent said he was staying at Villareal or because they had lost their battle against us to sign him, therefore massive signing and we are announcing his signing on monday? I know, i get a bit carried away sometimes.

No, but as good as, both agent and club confirm agreement of terms.

Hmmm, well I'm not going to get all het up about it as I'm sure some will as we will never really know the true story behind this or even if we were ever serious about him - besides he may just have wanted to stay in Italy full stop, in which case then we can't complain.

In any case, onwards and upwards and for every transfer that falls by the wayside there's always another pontetially better one round the corner.

Sure as hell not because he's coming to us!
I think the two clubs couldn't find common ground on the finances, in the meantime Villareal sold Capdevila and Cazorla making Rossi even more valuable to them and less negotiable with Juve. I'm sure Juve (or anyone else, ahem) would love them both as a quite mouthwatering partnership up front.

don't think we have any chance either, but don't like this reasoning. comparing back then to now is really apples to oranges. kaka's stock has dropped substantially and he probably wants to be a first name on the sheet kinda guy again.

Kaka was deemed world class at that junction though, now his star has fallen and would I believe be a huge flop if he ever came over to this shore - with us or anyone else.
That's like saying Torres' stock dropped and we would've had a chance to sign him. But Chelsea splashed £50m on him.

You really think Kaka feels like a fallen star or just a player who has had a serious set back with injuries? He still feels like the world class player of a few years ago and no doubt he will be playing for one of the biggest clubs this season, on over double the wages of our top earners.

How did Ronaldo get along after his career threatening injuries? Played for the likes of Inter and AC Milan. We have absolutely no chance on Kaka. The top clubs in Europe would still take a gamble on him given the chance.

Well that's gay, frankly I'd rather have had vucinic than Rossi. Doesn't look like either now.

"massive signing" - heard that so many times. Has never happened.

Let's say Kaka suddenly has the urge to join the mighty Tottenham Hotspur. If he regained his form with us it would be pure :hump:.

Can't wait till we announce the signing of Carlton Cole so we can stop all this madness. :)

If we're playing fantasy land it would be:

Bale Kaka Van der Vaart

Modric Sandro

Which doesn't look too shabby on paper at least. But there is absolutely no way we could sign Kaka. It doesn't look like we can get anyone at the moment!

I don't know on what planet that VDV is anywhere near Kaka, but it aint this one...

Even crocked.

to say the (unlikely) signing of Kaka would "set us back" is ludicrous.
