I agree, has got to be worth a punt. £1m for a striker these days is nothing and he can go out on loan, he may impress he may be of a lower league standard and in 2 years he may be sold for about £1m. OR he could do a Hernandez and prove an absolute bargain. Just because he hasn't broken through in the mexican league doesn't mean a lot. hernandez didn't until he was 20/21 and there are plenty of decent strikers in the uk who are late bloomers, Ian Wright for example. Besides his game may be better suited to over here who knows?
The one thing from the few clips/goals i've seen of him is that he looks more of an Owen than a Rooney in terms of physique and movement, looks quite pacey and seems to be pretty direct like a young Owen at Liverpook where he was always just running towards the keeper.

Does seem like Harry has seen how well Hernandez has done at Man U so we have now tried to get in our own version lol.

think its more to do with our lack of ability to really bring through any "top drawer" youngsters...since ledley?
perhaps whitman, ceballos will signal a recruitment drive of new youth talent?

It seems like he's out of contract this season - now if the mexican contracts run until the end of June like they do here then possibly if he is signing then we have to wait until tomorrow to officially announce it. I know £1m is being talked about but that may be to do with his age, u21?

I do not.
Any transfer that was going to happen would have been uncovered in one form or another by the press/ITKs. Surprise announcements don't really happen these days and we wouldn't wait until the window officially opened to announce someone anyway.

Firstly he just about broke through his team. He was their player of the copa libertadores. And Mexico's current best side where about to sign him, so its not like he wasn't rated in Mexico. He only costs £1m because his contract is about to run out. If all fails we could probably sell him back to Mexico for a lot more then that fee. It is going to be very hard for us to lose in this situation.

Correct me if I´m wrong, but arent we just supposed to have 25 players in our squad and we fill it up with unknowns?

Pedrozo wont take a position he is under 21.
I'm pretty sure i said it was worth a punt!?! My point about not shining in the league is the fact he's played 10 league games this year and not scored but, i also said that didn't matter.
Ah relax, it's not even July. U21s don't count anyway so this Mexican lad could be in the squad for 2 years without affecting the 25
