Strange that, since Levy is a businessman, and has zero credentials to be a DOF, he Is therefore picking targets partly based on a buisness level and if the club can make a profit on them and not if they will work on the field. He is not a a ex coach/manager/player or even a scout and should not be picking players, that sort of stuff should stay at Chelsea.

That's fine and know doubt avb would have been aware of this when joining (and so would not be throwing toys out of the pram). But diesn't explain lack of signing in key positions like another forward and cover out wide

It never ceases to amaze me how so many people on this forum, upon receipt of information which may or may not be true and which does not fit in with their aspirations, jump to a conclusion and immediately look for someone to blame. Yesterday DL was hailed as a god - today he is a useless twat. FFS grow up some of you and accept that the transfer market is almost always fraught with problems and unless we are in possession of all the facts (which we will never be) we are in no position to decide the rights and wrongs of a situation. We have had a great window so far but of course all of the good business we have done (and may still do) is now forgotten in the current frenzy and outpourings of bile.
