And neither are we which I guess is where the overdraft would come in to bridge payments?

@wishkah is obviously more ITK about that but would make sense what with installment payments etc.

Yup and speculating here, but helps with agents fees. I.e we can pay the agent in one lump which helps oil the wheels.

I just don't understand why this all has to culminate with just 36hrs to go, its fraught with danger. Levy needs to have a virtual end of window to work towards, like 3 weeks a go.

What, and miss all this mayhem. Not a chance.

Long time member just dont usually chip in. But this window has been Epic thus far in both respects of cloud highs and gutter like lows. The news of the Chavs bidding for Barkley seems odd as they seem to chasing Drinkwater but maybe Barkley is the back up plan? As for us.... Foyth is one for the future Sanches has all the promise of becoming a worldy from what we hear but we must bring in a RB, ACM, and hopefully a WF. If Levy delivers all will be well! if he doesn't il crawl back to the shadows safe from the outbursts of outraged fans..... after i deposit some cash to the coffers.....and in the words of the silky skilled worldy Vincent Jones.....its been emotional. Much love.

I do have to laugh at some of you on here thinking its like a supermarket dash in the last few days of a transfer window, just I's and T's to be done at this stage, we have been working on deals for a number of weeks. If transfers were so straight forward, especially in this cash rich mad window, then ask yourselves why Chelsea, Pool , Arsenal etc are having trouble getting deals over the line.

Following from GF, who beat me too it. Because names are popping up that may not set your pallet, or new names, or resurrected ones, it is not panic. Whatever deals conclude weren't. It desperate ones ;)

You're obviously right but stop trying to use intelligence, insight and logic to win an argument old bean, after the Champions League has flashed us a bit of thigh nobody can hear a word you say

This is a very good point.

Often in transfer windows it's a case of other clubs having done their business with us lagging behind, but in this window it seems everyone is still waiting for a lot to be done.

Just hope we actually take part in the festivities this time!

Yeah, we've been drawn against the team that's won 3 out of the last 4 European Cups. We need a squad on par with theirs, and we need it now! ;)

Talk in the Serge Aurier thread and also in the media, that we should know by midday, now whether that's a decision from HO, or an actual announcement, it's unclear, although the latter would tie in with Hercules comments last night.
Going over to what hertyid is saying, Aurier meets the criteria for a WP based on his international standing, plus also twice in Ligue 1 team of the year, so no issue there, and assuming we know his legal appeal was a success, which is what we have heard, then he has no criminal conviction anymore. So I'm not seeing a reason it'd be rejected.
