Another Ajax player... One of my sources who is Danish said this lad is highly rated in both Netherlands and Denmark, We look to be interested in him. When we went to look at Vertonghen for Ajax we also looked at him.. but if anything happens it will be after the Euro's as he want's to concentrate on that. Other top flight clubs are interested, but who know's only time will tell.
SP the last thing I'd ever accuse you of is bandwagon jumping, you've been a lone voice arguing your corner too often for that, and I respect your opinion of Rodgers, I chose my words carefully and am not saying that Rodgers is not a fine manager merely that I remain to be convinced however I am ready to be convinced, I just want more time.
My main point was really the other way round, why do so many people feel a good season in the prem qualifies him as a good manager but six good years in the prem leaving the club in the best condition ever doesn't seem to qualify Curbishley as a good manager.
Doesn't Eriksen want to stay at Ajax? Think that's what I heard when he was rumoured with City last year.

No, I hear ya. I was talking from a future asset standpoint. If Krul/Lloris/similar are the GK of the now and future, then a few promising youngsters could net nice transfer fees down the line if they can't crack the match day lineup.Maybe but Butland has never played for Birningham - only 12 matches in League 2 for Cheltenham. Next season League 1 loan, and following season Championship loan ? Potential yes....but could still either go downhill or become a goodgoalkeeper. asi of now over hyped based on his actual experience. Maybe worth a punt but its just that
Remond again, much hyped. Townsend who is a year older kept him on the bench when at loan at Birmingham so again maybe worth a punt but by no means a sure thing. BTW Redmond has just 24 appearances for Birmingham, Townsend has more Championship games plus went on loan in League 1 so has close to 100 professional games overall.
Think its a case of for many fans of bing taken in by the media who love hyping a youngster after just a handful of games
Posted in RO, about Christian Eriksen
If Vertonghen is up for it, maybe Eriksen is too?
Boilssen or something like that. hes the other young dane at ajax. could be him?
sorry its boilesen. hes a left back.
I would imagine Eriksen has a few after him. Don't see any big clubs after him though, apart from maybe Utd.
More importantly, doesn't Eriksen play exactly the same role as Rafa?
Eriksen is quality, if we are to sell Modric, I'd have him in as a replacement in a heartbeat.
He does, but who else do we have to cover that role if he is injured. Kranky looks to be leaving, Gio will be off, all the other strikers bar Kane cannot play there. I dont think he will join us, or as you said before, we have higher priorities, but we do need a creative/influential player to compete with VDV.
Agree so should we, but he played like soldier (untill he n many others got tired), even at the start of the season his game was just like last season, he was playmaker we all know and love(d). If we sell then only abroad, he will improve and enhance any of our PL competitors, he cannot be allowed that!
It would be like replacing Sandro with Rooney. Modric and Eriksen couldn't be more different.
