Just got back from enjoying the countryside in Dorset for 3 days.
Noticed that he most interesting thing that happened the entire weekend was how to moderate this site so it can be loaded quicker. :playful:
Thanks to The Goat, JJ, Grey Fox, Trix, Rebra, Dovahkiin & Ryantegan for sharing your stuff (y)
(Yes yes yes, I know Jay has removed himself from the ITK list, but he did have a post about having heard stuff, so only fair to include him).

Gards (whom I believe is allowed to be mentioned here) is really ripping Levy on the site not to be mentioned. Says our transfer policy is "unacceptable" and that it's been this way for the last six years. Says by now most clubs are putting finishing touches on the window, not scrambling around trying to fill obvious and key needs. The fact that he has been ripping him makes me think that things are not looking great going into tomorrow.

Does anyone else get the impression that, based on the ITK from today, Levy and company are absolutely scrambling trying to get things done? How is this a sound policy? When indeed are they going to learn?

I am hopeful (naive?) that these two huge needs of striker and DM will get filled as some ITK remain optimistic, but a big part of thinks they same old excuses are going to be coming out and it's going to be groundhog day again.
That is Gards' personal opinion, it doesn't mean Levy is literally panicking and messing about.

It is starting to annoy me how opinion from the ITKs instantly becomes fact.

Gards has admitted that not much is getting out due to the frenetic nature of it all and he doesn't really know how things are going.

If that's the case then I'd imagine that Rob Segal is getting pretty worried that the Berahino deal is not going to happen and he misses out on his not insignificant cut!

The fact that Gards in ranting but has said nothing else regarding our dealings, leads me to think that he knows nothing more than the average fan atm.
If he knew we were fucking things up, you'd have thought he be a bit more specific as to why. His info seems to have fallen away recently.

Ive followed Gards for a couple of years and he's always had an anti Lvy agenda and often brings it out at times like this so he gets a debate going. Most of that rant was with another Spurs fan called Osper who is a financial advisor who picks up occasional tid bits. So Gards interacts with him and others and engages his opinion very enthusuastically.

Let's be honest.

If we were going to get a signing done by tomorrow, I think we'd know it by now. Or at least we'd get reports like "a bid has been accepted" or "player flying to London"

I don't think we're going to get anything done. Levy is the kid in school who procrastinates until the last night to write his essays.

Can this become the most hectic deadline day in many years for us ? Lennon Ade is for sure going. And we need at least two players.
