One thing I do wonder, are we passed the multiple targets stage, and down to all eggs in one basket (well, two baskets, one CF and one CM). Or do we still have main targets and backup options also, all lists being worked on to varying degrees, so if anyone gets ruled out, we have an alternative already some way down the road of being dealt with?
I know this was deemed to be the case earlier in the window, but have we moved past that point to concentrating on two specific targets, all or nothing time?

I just peeked in at Twitter and left immediately... there are so many really stupid people saying so many really stupid things!

Honestly, I don't know how you cope with it on there JJ!

Son was a good buy but don't you think a dm and a back up striker were more important aquistions considering the options we have available atm

Can you tell me what you don't understand in the following that has been bandied about several times - 'The state of affairs will be discussed once the window has slammed shut and we know what the state of affiars actually is.'

So just to make sure you understand - wait until the window shuts before coming to a conclusion

It pleases me to see you say that. I think you were the last one holding back with it, we were worried about you :D

Just think the squad is stronger than last season, so all this it's the end of the world stuff if we don't sign someone tomorrow is a bit ott.

I think we'll have to bite the bullet and get Austin, which I think would be a good move. We have Dier and Milos who can do as job as dm if needed.

But we'll see. Will be in the pub enjoying it. Feel sorry for the mods and those stuck at work.

Have to agree with this, generally a much stronger squad inkeeping with managers requirements - we may still be short on striker front, but even last year we only had poor Bobby and good for nothing Ade in addition to Harry.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

I honestly think a CM is more important then a striker. Up front we at least have options.

Still with the stance whatever to be will be. We got 5th with less talent than we have now so any further acquisitions in the next 18 hrs or will be a bonus for me. Only this belief keeps me sane!

@Trix .......was wondering if one of the 'undiscussed' reasons Hugo wouldn't go to Man U was something to do with a pre-planned fax machine fault at Old Trafford this evening?

Real Madrid seem pretty peeved......poor loves :ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO:

But the teams around have have more talent. That's the problem.Liverpool bought early and bought well
