Don't want to get too excited, but the 35-40 million is probably just for the three forwards we're buying....!!!
Other ITK said our CM may come in later in the window, so it could be we are getting:

Berahinho, N'Jie (Strikers) and Werner / Yarmolenko (winger / wide forward)!!!:D(y)

Anyway, must remain calm and pretend I'm not hyped..

We are not signing 3 forwards

And you aren't allowed to mention the Y-word in here as there's been no ITK or serious link to him.

The beautiful thing about selling Fazio is that he likely has no depreciation and if anything has become more valuable for other clubs.

If that goes towards $20m to fix the midfield it's an absolute steal.

On the other hand, if we duck around and start sept w mason as a starter then this is all bullshit

I've thought for a while that 5 senior CB's is one too many. If Fazio chooses to stay, so be it, but you have to wonder how much game time they'll all get. Kind of pleased to see some ITK suggesting we'll thin out that area. The Belgian duo as front line, with two talented/promising 22yr olds in Dier and Wimmer to call on seems fine by me. May create the space for Velkjovic to step up as 5th choice (Europa option, cup games etc).
The other side to that is Fazio's fee/wages could be reallocated to a higher calibre CM.
Positive stuff though, CM and 2/3 forwards, I think it'll be just the two personally, unless the 3rd one is a project option.
Guessing Fazio plus one of Carroll/Townsend/Dembele could be at risk.

I firmly believe the conclusion of Ade and Soldado's transfers will see the other picked incoming fall into place. Assuming work is predominantly done for us to be confident enough dropping so low on numbers, that the trigger is ready to be pulled any time now, as soon as or outgoings are packed off.

I'm not one of those moaners but it's far too early to celebrate future signings in my opinion.

Not celebrating signings, I was on about all window I've been reading about why does levy always worry about net spending and having to read how much people went for and come in for etc and why can't we spend some money coz "Liverpool are and Man Utd are, it's because levy don't want to spend and worries about net spend etc" . Then when we finally get itk saying we are gonna spend people moan about net spend I just find it ironic.

Why not just enjoy that we COULD be spending that and getting some signings in. after all isn't it all what we are in here clucking for?

10.20 and no signings in or out....wtf Levy ?

Obviously announcing the deals after we lose 8-0 to Madrid today, to appease the painful truth that our best two players of the last decade have both just scored a brace against us.

You're kidding. When they announce there will be precisely 30 seconds of euphoria followed immediately by frustrated and violent demands for signings or to put it another way, normal service will be resumed :p

Mate we could sign Messi, and within 5 minutes there would be cries of "WTF do we do if he gets injured."

Two of them get injured (or some have to cover fullbacks or DM) and we have to play the same two potentially every 3-4 days during the first half of the season...

I'm sure we could cope but we'll have space for Fazio until January at least IMO. Although if he wants out I've got no problems with us cashing in.

35-40m! hmmm.... I can't imagine 4 quality players into that spend bracket. Yarmolenko, Werner, Berahino and Kramer wouldnt fit. Or if it does Levy is a genius.

If we are going that big surely our outs will have to include Townsend. The known/expected outs won't cover that sort of outlay.

Anyway, massively exciting ITK. Bring it on!

Personally I'd like to see the likes of Milos and CCV get some game time in the Europa. That won't happen if we have 5 senior CB's. This Faz being sold info could be in the best interests of everyone.

I'm sorry but that is such an over-simplification and its almost ignorant. You do not fix things by simply swapping one player for another. If the same issues as a collective remain, then any individual will find it a struggle at times in our midfield.

I'd also say Scout must think SB is nailed on to believe that amount of expenditure was going to happen. He is certainly well placed as far as that one is concerned.

Dont be too happy when the final outcome is Austin, Werner, Vogt, and Sidney :dead:

My Guess would be Berahino and Werner - if Ade and Soldado both go.

Midfielder coming later in the window.
