Brownhead's info is good news. The only thing stopping me getting too excited is that JJ gave someone an optimistic rating yesterday when they said they thought we would sign some players before the Euros started.

Yep. It seems reasonable. But just to keep things on an even keel - not to be a downer - it's not news, it's rumour, hearsay or tittle tattle. It can only be confirmed by confirmation on the OS. Until then, we enjoy the guesswork or uncertainty, even if that enjoyment curiously includes getting angry and frustrated at things we knew may not be true in the first place.

Of course I wouldn't be disappointed with Ade.....but it just wouldn't feel like a shiny new signing!

Perhaps Levy really screwed city on any fee and that's why we've had to keep it quiet

Parker wasn't shiny but did a great job for us.........although he faded later to the end but I guess that could have been down to lack of rotation

Re; Harrys contract.
I’m told it’s not a one year extension to his current deal, but a new two year deal from now with a good increase in wages and an option to extend if both agree after two years. The wage is not an issue; it’s just the length of contract; Harry just wants a straight 3 or 4 year deal.

personally cant see it being a huge issue.

Us working on a deal for Ade isn't really unknown though is it? He's come out and said we are trying to sign him.

More likely someone we've not had much, if any, news on.

Oh yeah and the Harry info is fine with me. As I said a couple of weeks ago I'm happy for him to stay on with us, as even though he has got some stuff wrong he has done a helluva lot more right.

Ade + Verts would be a great start to the window. And straightening out the manager situation is vital. Either sack him and sign someone else or give the man a new contract, just get it over with.

I'm dubious that anyone will sign today. We haven't even agreed a fee with Ajax for Verts. We would have to do that before he has a medical and we complete the signing.

I've heard "it'll be announced today" too many times already. eventually someone will be right, I guess, I just don't think today is that day.
