I think it will be pretty dead in here until we get some ITK with real substance to it - to actually discuss. The Modric saga should be discussed elsewhere.....so its hardly surprising this thread isn't very lively.

I've been busy w**king, but I've stopped now as it was getting in the way of me having a Jodrell.

I had a funny feeling in my stomach this morning after last nights ITK post by that guy who camped out at WHL, Spurs Lodge and Holly House, but I'm beginning to think it's more to do with that 1 day out of date chicken I had in my sandwich for tea.

Let's hope that something happens soon.

Would prefer a target man type striker, so you're not alone!

I'd perhaps prefer Adebayor or Vucinic to Llorente though. Haven't seen enough of Llorente to properly comment...

Two different positions though isn't it. They'd be like a good Defoe (i.e. with pace, movement, intelligence and goals) and a good Crouch (i.e. with power, genuine aerial ability, skill and goals).

I just don't see how £50m is going to help us. all of the top 4 (and Liverpool can match and exceed us on wages). so if a player can get the same elsewhere but also play in the CL, its unlikely he will choose us.

I just don't see us snatching players away from Arsenal unfortunately.

Where we have always got players ahead of the top four teams (such as Modric and Berba) is when we have taken a chance on players who are not the most sought after and not the top of other teams lists of targets.
