my bet is there will be a massive bid from us for guiseppi rossi or rademal falcao this weekend...

totally unsubstantiated but i just feel we will show our intent this weekend

Couldn't we just bid now?

I wonder if Levy was driving home to hibernate until 31/8/11 :)

That interview came across like luka wasnt best pleased about staying though

How it came across to me was that Levy was making it clear there was no debate. It wasn't about Modric wants this, or Modric thinks that, just I told him:shhh:

Well played Levy.

Not impressed with Luka at all though. He has gone from being my favourite player to being my least favourite of whatever 11 is selected.

I'm not convinced that will bother him too much though!

Also, take it easy on my guys, newbie and all that!

A Newbie:eek:mg: You should be flayed alive and rolled in salt you Neewbie, burger eating, farmed salmon poaching hyena mofo...:bang::evil::bang::evil::bang:
Deep breaths, deep breaths...welcome to the site

Luka's agent left 20 minutes later because Levy bent him over his desk and pummelled his ringpiece without lube as punishment for letting things get this far. I'm about 60 metres away from his office and I still heard the sound of arsecheeks being bitchslapped with a squeaky voice saying 'I'm the daddy, one more quote from you about Modders leaving and next time I'm going in with the 19 inch megadildo'.

:rofl::eek:mg::rofl::eek:mg::rofl::eek:mg::rofl::rofl::eek:mg: :rofl:

Transfertron vs Megadildo

This is not over!! Levy said the right things but his body language was telling me that Luka was far from happy with the turn of events. Watch this space over the next few days and don't be surprised that after some bad advice from his agent, and whisperings in his ear from Kia Joorabchian Luka hands in a transfer request. Look at Levy's body language!!

Actually, I would say he looked more than pleased with himself.

When Levy said Modric is going nowhere, he meant it literally. He's tied up in the WHL basement, naked, bar a ball gag to muffle the screams.

Brutal day for Luka and the agent.

Eek With Joe Jordan and Megadildo Eek

I'll need 3 minutes and a miniature bouncy castle.

Eek

Yay we're keeping a player who really doesn't want to play with us anymore!

Really stupid comment.

This is much bigger than Modric, the wider implications were always crucial this summer - had we sold our image as an aspiring Club would of crumbled, consequences in terms of others in the squad and attracting quality players across the world would of been the end result.

Its clear and completely unambigious...its not about the money and we won't sell our top players. How can we if we are going to be ambitious...thats a rhetorical question.

I'm always proud to be a Spurs fan, but tonight - that really is amazing, our Club standing right up for itself.

Levy doing this gives me huge confidence for the rest of the summer, he means business and I'm confident that will be reflected in our transfer plans in the coming weeks.

Well done Dan Levy.

Exactly

Levy is such a Honkeytonkbadonkadonk badass mother fucker!

He completely Honkeytonkbadonkadonkified that reporter:beer:

people we need to get excited

i watched us completely destroy a liverpool team at anfield that was in amazing form....we completely outplayed them in every single dept..

my point is that even with henderson & adam added we are still a far better team...

we havent even bought anyone yet & with ledders & walker being new signings already plus a world class striker...

we could be awesome.....we could be champions

WOOOHOOO
Looks like I got my dough on us to win the EPL just in time, then...this news, and the shiny, new strikers *to be unveiled) will surely see our odds plummet (Liverpool were 10-1 in Ladbrokes :rofl::rofl:).

Levy's comment when SSN asked him "is he happy to stay" and Levy said "he will be when he meets up with the rest of squad" leads you to believe not all went well. But that also implies that Levy said you aint going no where. Fair play. When i grew up players never left clubs until the club told them they were going. People said that was wrong, now players tell the clubs when they are leaving, which is also wrong. There's no happy medium. Modric has five years left on his contract and will be made to stay at least one more year. We are Tottenham Hotspur, bigger than any player, and in Levy, we will dictate this situation not some russian gangster....and if all else fail, just rip them for £70M.....

I've heard (not from my usual person, but someone I'm fairly confident in nevertheless) that Chelsea have serious intent to buy Joao Moutinho. Came as a bit of a surprise for me, because he was linked with Everton a couple of years back but since then I thought his career had stalled a bit??? But doesn't he play basically the same role as Modric would, or is he more of a replacement for Lampard?

Liverpool will do well next season, don`t write them off.

Where did I say I was writing them off?

They will be in the mix with us for the top 4. What I'm saying is that their spending isn't just about firing them back into the top 4 next season at all costs...it has a long term element to it, so they can build and get stronger from season to season.

I'm sure they'll be doing their upmost to get back in next season, but they a have measured plan in terms of building for the future, becuase they will have no gurantees whatsoever of hitting that top 4 next season.

Its not an overnight thing with Liverpool...they wont be the force they were within a season - it takes time to build again.

Modric wants out, I think thats obvious and I`m sure he isnt best pleased but well done Daniel for telling him how it is. Just hope Modric doesn`t throw the toys out of the pram, otherwise it just gets messy.

Well done Levy for putting the media straight about our stance with Modric, we needed that otherwise the no doubt we would have had sensationalist headlines tomorrow about Modric telling us he's off.....

p.s. Harry do us a favour and shut your fucking gob now and concentrate on getting our squad ready for our biggest season in many a year, and find us some bloody strikers. We THFC pay your wages NOT Sky tv/Talk Sport......

Don't tease!

If you note my ITK from a few days ago you'll see a lot now that has passed including DL's pov

There's will's and ways. The next few months for this club will make or break it's stance for many years to come, on and off the field. New contracts, new players, some great and some just needed, the ground and councils backing.

It's all happening and happening as wanted by DL.

dont know where to start with that comment.. i think in all fairness harry knows strikers he wants by now its just matter of playing it out, besides, its nothing got to do with him now. it's all in levy's hands. he does the deals.

I think that every year, but in the modern game a really big signing means how much money you spend, that does't mean it's the best signing. Look at Dawson, bale, lennon and huddlestone, cost a fair bit but not a great deal in this era. Moyes sets the tone, you buy players that fit in to your system that play well as a team and are disciplined, they don't need to be expensive they just need to be the right players to complement what we have. fergie has done it for years. our biggest issue is that we will buy players knowing the manager will probably change in less than 18 months, so when a new manager cmes in we want our players to be saleable assets if the new manager doesn't fancy them

I'm convinced we'll make a big signing now, the Modric situation was so important in terms of our ambition.

Dont worry about a change of manager, we are talking about top players here and what manager doesn't like inheriting genuine quality...
