Well, we clearly need help and support in attacking midfield. Certainly could speak to our supposed interest in Jack Grealish and/or the chap from Marseilles. Not seen enough of Gomes to know whether or not this is his position. But I'm guessing that if this person is seen as a potential starter, it has to be a number 8 style of player. As that's probably the biggest hole in the team right now, that you can somewhat guarantee a starting place being open.

personally, i'd find it commendable if the club could bring even one player in before the WC. I'd imagine most agents are telling their players (whether they are going or not), that they should sit tight, and see where things pan out post WC final. So, getting anyone over the line before then would be impressive.
