What short term memories some poeple have. You're mental if you think Barton is a better player than Hudd... Pointless argument anyway as it's very clear how highly Harry rates thud(rightly so imo). Point still stands about it perhaps being 1 or 2 too many.

Not short memory at all mate

Maybe you haven't seen much of Barton in the last 2 season but his been far far better than Thudd and if Arry really rates him that much why we trying to buy either/both Diarra and Barton?

I think we're after both as JJ may be on the way out and it's about time.

My dream transfer window would look something like Friedel, Samba, Diarra, Barton/Parker, Rossi, Llorente and Adebayor in with Jenas, O'Hara, Palacios, Bentley, Bassong, Keane, Pavlyuchenko and Crouch out.

I pray this could still happen, if I was being greedy, someone like Adam Johnson to play out the right and make Lennon buck up his ideas a bit.

That would be awesome... highly doubtful at the moment though.

I'm more excited about Mancini's plans than I am about Barton. I really don't want the latter.

IF Diarra is officially announced today I am £10 poorer. Lets hope I am £20 poorer and we also announced a shiny new fucking striker.

I would like to request an extension to your 20 squid pledge until Wednesday, whereupon I will match it when/if our shiny new players are revealed.

Deal?

Bringing Diarra in for Palacios is a fair upgrade. Barton for Palacios is not. I don't give a monkeys about Barton's character, we need a couple of nasty ****'s, I just don't think Barton's a good enough footballer, and the last thing we need is another slightly slow dimwit in our team.

Hudd being behind them had everything to do with his injury woes imo... And I have seen much of Barton and I think you've got to get a bit of perspective here. He's playing for newcastle for christs sake. Last TWO seasons???? Hudd partnered modders in the middle to drive us into the champions league. Barton was in the championship.:duh: Short memory much?

Why is Harry buying them? Because Diara is quality and Barton is cheap... Ask him who he'd rather Hudd or either of those two and i'm sure you'd be surprised by his response mind.

Barton is better than Thudd? Really?
Does that make Barton the new Jenas then? A new idol is born for those with the attention span of a goldfish on acid.

Do you actually watch hudd play? Yes he can pass a ball but what else does he do exactly? I have watched virtually every game he has ever played for spurs and he has been good in about 10% of them, average in about 60% of them and a bloody passenger in about 30%.

Sandro showed harry what a proper central midfield player is supposed to do and since then hudd has been behind him.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has confirmed strikers Emmanuel Adebayor
spacer.gif
and Craig Bellamy will not feature in his plans for the new season, even if they fail to secure a transfer away before the deadline.

Both players are free to leave the club this summer but, ahead of Sunday's Community Shield against Manchester United,
spacer.gif
no deal has been struck as yet.

Bellamy has been linked with a return to Cardiff or Celtic
spacer.gif
while Real Madrid
spacer.gif
have been linked with Adebayor, who spent the second half of the last campaign at the Bernabeu.

Following the arrival of Sergio Aguero
spacer.gif
from Atletico Madrid,
spacer.gif
competition for places up front for City has increased still further, with Mario Balotelli,
spacer.gif
Edin Dzeko
spacer.gif
and wantaway striker Carlos Tevez

also competing for a striking berth at the Etihad Stadium.

However, even if Tevez leaves, Mancini is insistent neither Bellamy nor Adebayor can force their way back into his plans, so they would be destined for the reserves unless they can secure a move ahead of the transfer deadline at the end of the month.

"These players [Adebayor and Bellamy] are not part of my plans," said the Italian in The People.

Meanwhile, Mancini has also revealed his frustration at dealing with the antics of controversial striker Balotelli.

The talented but volatile Italian has had an eventful pre-season. He was substituted before half-time in a friendly against LA Galaxy for attempting a cheeky back-heel when clean though on goal, he has openly complained about living Manchester and then had a training ground bust-up with team-mate Aleksandar Kolarov.

"I have to speak to Mario every single day and I think maybe now I need a psychologist," said Mancini.

"I don't know why he does the things he does, except to say that he is a young guy who will eventually grow up.

"But I have known him since he was 17 and he is even worse now than he was then. We all do crazy things. I did crazy things, you did crazy things.

"But players these days are different to what they were 20 years ago.
When I was a young player I was stronger mentally than players these days. We had less money but more hunger.
