Sounds good. truth is we arent the big boys. the hottest girls are gonna all gonna fuck the richest dudes. we are the 'not really rich, kinda there but not really there' dudes. as much as you hate it i much rather take my gamble on a 8/10 thats left over because the richest dudes have chosen their 9/10 than go for a guaranteed 6/10. if we end up with no one, i rather we get no one than the wrong one.
Although you can end up loving the 6/10 more than the 8/10 if they don't actually deliver what you thought they would...

That's what your husband tells you anyway ;)

Looks like the DM will be a long drawn out affair. Hope it's not another case of waiting up til midnight on deadline day for it just to collapse like Moutinho. Should have the forwards in by then though if the ITK pans out.

Sometimes the 6/10s are much better in bed. The 8/10 might look good on your arm but could be like fucking a cabbage.

can we not put two 5's together #uglyonestryharder
Lol but then again we have had the ugly sister's before at Spurs so it's maybe better to try our luck! I think ITK is positive it's just about getting it over the line which always seems to prove a problem. Young prospects are what we seem to be heading for and strangely i'm ok with that. Supported for over 25 years and seen some right shockers so a bit of direction seems alien to me (although much appreciated!)

I'd always go for the loyal, hardworking man rather than the Billy Bignuts who has too much choice and no concept of loyalty.

This exactly!!
Its such a wind up, this whole 'waiting to see if someone else comes in' - I mean, if they're waiting for Citeh or United or Chelsea to come in, and they don't, and lo-and-behold the player decides to come to us instead - exactly how committed is that player to Spurs!!?
We forever seem to be some sort of bargaining chip.........it's just sooo frustrating!!

It's probably been said many times in here today but seriously where do some fans think we are in the food chain?! Did I miss us in the CL for the last ten years or lifting more than the odd league cup? Pack it in and stop getting stroppy that we haven't signed superstars - especially immediately. I agree that we really should have got people by now of a Berahino-esq quality but we have no defined right to command / demand players of CL quality to move to a non-CL team on a bunch of ENIC promises

All of that is irrelevant if, once the player is in the shirt, he's professional and plays to the best of his ability.

No doubt there would be suitors after that, but that is to be expected. If the player and the team perform, then we have a chance of removing the CL temptation by getting there ourselves.

In the meantime, we should, in theory, increase our chances of keeping said player by getting where we want to be. With an "inferior" player, for want of a better term, you might get to keep them longer, but the chances are they won't give you that "edge" that maybe the difference between qualifying for CL or remaining as the best of the also rans.

The player holding out, or being advised to hold out, for a potentially better deal is no indicator of their loyalty or application on the pitch, it's just a player looking to further his career, whether that be financially or for honours. It could also be an indication that the parent club believe they can get more value for their asset.

Either way, as Stoof and I have written previously, this is the way we have to do business as the asset and the owner have a voice and a say.

JJ was a bit hush, hush when asked about Bender last night. So as it stands, there's good reason to believe the info that A&C/Rob put through The Goat was discussing Bender.
Whilst I mean no direct offense to you personally, it's leaps of faith like this that cause problems and set hares running. All the evidence is circumstantial, but give it a few hours and this'll be gospel.

Oh. Bit off topic, I know, but I wasn't actually talking about football. ;)
