So are we thinking N'jie will be instead of Werner?

Or as JJ said Werner isn't ready yet, perhaps we'll sign him and loan him back for a year?

Is it confirmed that Werner and Bender were the two cabbages?

Njie looks like a player who is not only very pacy but also decisive, everything we currently lack.

Njie would be a good punt I reckon. We need more pace and better movement to compliment our attack.

But would be disappointed if that was the height of our transfer plans from now to deadline day. Njie and Berahino would still be very good though.

I just don't think we'll sign another CM now. Don't see us spending the money to better the options we currently have.

I still hoping another CM is a priority, JJ said early on that we were in the market for a CM, and going by his latest tweets that we haven`t shifted our focus, there would be no reason to think anything has changed in regard to an incoming CM.

Not being able to get one in who's good enough could change our outlook though. Not saying that it won't happen, but a possibility.

I`m just going by JJ`s focus tweet, says to me that we are still actively looking for a CM, but your right we may not be able to get one that we think is better than what we have given our recent history of buying mediocrity for the sake of it.

Nah. A first team starting DM is more important. Although signing a couple of strikers/wide forwards is important to. I doubt N'Jie/Werner/Berahinho would even start for us. A quality DM (Bender) would.

I think it's probably fair to say that we go into the Man Utd game with what we have. Not ideal, but at the same time not the disaster that some have made it out to be.

If we can get 2 maybe 3 in well before the game after I'll be well happy.

Of course one of N'Jie or Berahino, Werner (unlikely) would start for us. We lack pace and the ability to run in behind teams, N'Jie and/or Berahino would provide this. We're not going to spend circa £15 on N'Jie and £20m on Berahino and park them on the bench.

Wouldn't even matter if it was, they most likely wouldn't be registered with the FA in time.

BUT that's for elsewhere.

JJ's stuff still sounding positive, let's hope it stays that way. Key for me is that we have the squad we want before the window shuts.

We've trimmed the squad of the players who weren't going to play anyway and improved the back 4 with Trippier and Alderwield signings. A 1st team upgrade at DM and cover at CF/WF are all we really need to progress at this point. N'jie, like Werner both look a bit like planning for the future, Berahino and Bender would be 1st team upgrades now.

Would have been unlikely to play this weekend even if we'd signed at the beginning of the week, but an announcement today would certainly be a bit of a lift ahead of OT tomorrow. If ITK from earlier in the week saying that Werner would be at OT at the weekend is correct, it would seem unlikely we'd bring him unless we were going to announce his signing before then.

I'd think there's a lot of transfer business to be done yet before the window shuts and not just by us!

N'Jie and Berahino are the two that I want us to land more than anyone else. I'm open to whatever the club think is best on the CM front.

I think you could well be a happy man then. As posted previously, if everything goes to plan don't expect any surprises.(y)
