Got a feeling the goats last itk is Kyle Walkers agent.......
That occurred to me too.
I'm not sure the ITK is anything new really, just a bit of bleak spin on it, Poch has a project and will see it through unless we do a Southampton on him, if he feels the club are no longer supporting his project he'll think what's the point? and rightly so.
Players as good as ours are always looking to see ambition in a club, it's a given, if they don't see it they'll think what's the point? and rightly so.
The players listed as last minute bugger ups confuse me too, Willian was having a medical wasn't he? that was just Chelsea throwing more money than we could at a club who was selling their entire squad and so it was all about money for them and the player, Lemar never got anywhere near last minute, Marseille had accepted a bid from Palace but then accepted another from Chelsea for Batshuayi so I'm not sure where we were involved in last minute shenanigans and whilst you might try and make an argument in the Berahino case I think everyone knew the West Brom chairman was the major factor in that little fiasco.
I don't doubt that Levy likes to haggle but I'm not convinced he sods up everything.
All that said
Dear Mr Levy,

Please just bloody well sign someone.:banghead:

You need us to take you at your word, which I am very happy to do. I fully understand everything you're saying and the constraints and confidences that you have to respect.

But when the Goat says that what he's passing on includes guesses, fine, that doesn't undermine the Goat's credibility in any way, or yours, but it does mean that the information is open to personal interpretation in the same way as the source, in giving us his own guess based on the same information he has given us, is doing.

Unless there is more information that we don't have, in which case we can't take it into account can we?
The Goat was specific as to the nature of the 'guess', ONE guess, from the source.......that hardly means everything else was or is or should be considered a guess. Just that one bit. I can't believe its too much to expect for that to be recognised and understood.

But I should :D

The problem with the Goat's info is that a lot of it seems very opinion driven, and based on conjecture. And more importantly it doesn't tally from the things Poch has been saying, and other snippets which suggest that he and Levy have become very close in the last year or so.

That's not to say even colleagues who've become friends can't have a souring in their relationship, but it would surprise me at this stage.

But it wouldn't really be ITK info if it tallied with what Poch was saying. It would just be bleeding obvious. If Poch had a face like a smacked arse and developed a twitch every time transfers or Levy's name was mentioned we wouldn't need ITK to get a inside view of what really was going on.

Not saying it must be true. It seems perfectly plausible to me based on the multitude of Levy stories out there, but it could just as easily be way exaggerated.

What I do think though is that Poch's public persona is not a reliable indicator of whether it's true or not.

We don't need an overhaul like many of the other teams do.

Do you think Pochettino wants to sign players? He talked a lot about how clever we needed to be in the transfer market and how important it was to move quickly.

The perceived tone of the Goats info is irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. All it proves is that A&C penned it.

That aside, I couldn't give two fucks about the internal rumblings from the inside the club (if true). There's always going to be a degree of differing opinions and one party feeling peeved with another. That's just work environments full stop.

If you had witnessed the upward curve of THFC over the last 3 seasons and not been privy to 'inside info', ITK, and media perceptions of this club, you'd all be happy as a cartwheeling Larry.

It's only the perceived knowledge that kills you.

Lemar seems to have chosen Arsenal and they struggling to agree a fee yet we had it done both with Lemar and Monaco until Levy blew it?

I think he does.

Personally i don't think he really needs to as long as walker stays and we can get our injured players back.

It does go to reinforce what I've been saying for a while - Poch probably came to us a couple of years too early (or we've got the stadium done a couple of years too late).

It would be a shame to waste the abilities of the best manager we've had in a generation on a time of massive upheaval and disruption for the club. Would've been nice if he could've joined us when we'd already had the stadium done for a couple of years. Of course it's come at the same time as having the likes of Alli, Kane etc as well.

In other words, cheers Archway!

Let's hope Poch can be patient for a couple of seasons to come - unlikely though, since he's one of the hottest young properties in football management.

We've waited ages for ITK; glad this part of the forum is being used properly - at last!
Rumblings always occur in transfers, we only see things thru prism of Spurs. I'd rather be in our shoes than any other premiership side. +ve or -ve ITK always has to have a sprinkling of salt. I love it all!

Aubameyang great example. He was in the bag by all accounts until tables turned at the final moment, few seasons ago. Google what his views are of us today. My point is, when we are ignorant to confidential facts we go into denial.

Guessing it will be northward of £50m. Monaco don't need to sell.

No one is particularly active though....yet! Besides Everton. Plus the only player signed who I'm envious of is Silva the rest wouldn't get in our team. Poch is all about the right profile and character.

Rubbish, I understood it to be that Aubameyang didn't like the way we approached him and his family regarding obtaining him. That to me is no way "in the bag"

I hope he wants to sign players.

We can make a big deal of wanting a shiny new toy all we want but a manager should be constantly looking to imrpove the squad. We have a brilliant squad but that doesn't mean we can't improve it.

If we aren't looking to constantly improve then we have an issue.

I would hope Poch is looking at it objectively and figuring out areas that he thinks we can improve via the transfer market, via the academy or via coaching.
