I agree with you that salt should be applied liberally. Ben's info is encouraging I admit. I just happen to 'trust' The Goat a bit more than Ben and Ali. Ben was top notch a few years back, perhaps not so much nowadays (since Redknapp left? :D).
i wouldn't trust that goat. I caught him munching my wife's lettuce in the kitchen the other day.

I'm surprised to hear Willian was a result of Levy trying to squeeze the terms with the club, as I thought it was already established that he was literally about to put pen to paper when he zipped off to Chelsea. Likewise, the rejection of arsenal's offer for Lemar confuses me in the context of this itk? Are we saying that our initial offer was higher than arsenal's rejected offer, or just that he was playing silly buggers to start?

Irregardless of whats potentially true and what isn't, Levy definitely has previous of this.

There was the story involving Guiseppe Rossi, whereby there were tough negotiations with his club and Levy. Levy eventually whittled them down to a price that was agreeable, hands were shook and Rossi was set to move. All parties went to bed, then the next morning Levy phoned up and tried to extract another discount which Rossi's club were outraged at and the whole deal blew up. From what I remember, this actually occurred a window or two before a glut of further ITK came about us potentially signing Rossi, and at some point was confirmed by quotes from Rossi. It was a while ago now though.

Big fan of Levy, but he can be a difficult one at times !

Bullet dodged. Rossi was shite.

I feel chill tbh

Transfer windows are always a point of tension in a season. Look at Jose throwing his toys out over lack of activity - and that's for a team that needs an extensive overhaul.

I don't think any player has moved into the PL that we would have considered a target.

Poch clearly has a will to succeed, it's something he's instilled in his team. I would expect him to be pushing hard and until we get the signings he wants then he'll chill.

Also hearing that the new stadium means little to players is foolish - they'll care when their wages double and they get banging new facilities.

I got a wide screen monitor in an office upgrade I was delighted. Also delighted when we got a bean to cup coffee machine.

By the sounds of it Levy has some form of OCD, seems he cannot help himself from the haggle, it consumes him, or the thrill of the deal is his equivalent to snorting coke off a hookers battered arse cheek. Or more simply.....some men just like to watch the world burn. :ninja:

We've all read stories about Levy moving goal posts / breaking promises etc. How many of them are true we can't know but certainly evidence it occurs. I don't think it's any coincidence that our most efficient summer transfer wise was with Baldini here, essentially being given a list of targets and then going to get the job done. It's what would work best, but Levy clearly doesn't like relinquishing that control...

The problem with the Goat's info is that a lot of it seems very opinion driven, and based on conjecture. And more importantly it doesn't tally from the things Poch has been saying, and other snippets which suggest that he and Levy have become very close in the last year or so.

That's not to say even colleagues who've become friends can't have a souring in their relationship, but it would surprise me at this stage.

I am not naive on any itk's info. Fact of the matter is, we know very little. Another little story for you, or two; Sol Campbell & Robbie Keane. Work the rest out.

True but pre season will be in full flow as well as a lot of the better players may be snapped up before were willing to pull the trigger ;-) , Anyway good news on 2 incomings it wouldn't take much to push us to 1st place imo so im so looking forward to who we end up with.

I think it was prob to do with the wages. ie for arguments sake he agreed to say 40k maybe our max, then Chelsea came in and said 80k. There was prob no room for manoeuvre our end. So he went

You couldn't be more wrong.

The 'problem' with the Goat's info is that often, more than one person has an input into how things are worded, sometimes things are left out to protect sources and the final draft might not read as well as we'd like. The Goat is saying what he's been told, reworded, but what he's been told. There is no opinion in there. There is no conjecture in there. We can only judge by the source and as far as we can tell, the source on this is a very good one. People picking holes in one aspect as if it nullifies all of it is a bit of a joke in itself really.
