I'll requote you, now read it slowly. You've said if the players can't live up to expectations they'll lose faith in the club and want to leave. If the players don't perform I don't see how that's the clubs fault? This team as it stands are good enough to win the PL.
The first XI if we only played league games are good enough but it's not that simple

Yes, yet paid much less than a title contending club. We are dependent on the players' ambition, not ownership's, to secure the PL (contrast that with the Clubs who actually win the PL). That same ambition will lead them to the exit door. It isn't rocket science.

Not sure the point you're making? Are you saying that the players won't perform because we don't pay as much, if so they can all F off.

And it's not like we're selling all our players, 1 player has been allowed to leave. We have not accepted any offers on any players we want to keep. Next year could be a different story.

I don't believe Poch rates Trippier as good enough to be given the number 2 shirt. No way. When Walker was out of form he still never gave him huge amounts of game time. Shit hit the fan with Walker at the end of last season and Poch was happy to let him go.

But is Poch happy with Trippier and KWP as backup?

No way IMO.

Wish I didn't have to wade through all these boring posts in order to get the latest ITK.

Bet half of you hadn't even heard about Balde Keita (I know I hadn't) but after missing out we're going to struggle to finish tenth with what is basically the same squad as last year according to some.. Still three weeks left of the TW. Man up!

Nor should he be. It's like having Harrison as our backup striker, I wonder how many people would be happy with that situation.

Although the Balde deal may have fallen through i'm happy that this is the level of player we are going for. The ITKs and Poch himself suggest that the money is there for the right players and we will be strengthening our squad. I'm actually much more optimistic about our prospective transfer dealings than I have been for many a season.

Scoring in the premier league is a tad harder imo mostly agree with the sentiment :)

Last season we went from isco to sissoko.

Positive on Barkley not so much on the right back. We need another one in and HY's comments are pointing towards Toljan now as he's the only young fullback we've been linked to.

Adam smith? We were linked with him and there was some itk on him towards the end of last season iirc

If Trippier is seen as first choice, then it won't be Pereira, Cancelo or Henrichs. Must be Toljan

I'd think that still counts Henrichs in. He's super versatile, we could just as easily be picking him for back up CB and/or DM aswell. Either German player makes perfect sense to me
