No because Alderweireld wasn't one of the cabbages so it doesn't need to relate to him. In fact I think the new hint makes it much less likely it's Suarez.

The hint just said that with Toby signing one of the cabbages is less likely, which probably means one of the cabbages was a defender I would assume.

Ah I missed that. Cheers

I suppose we don't know the club's plans for Wimmer at this point - might be that they don't necessarily see him as going straight into the first team and needs a gradual process of development?
There was some ITK a little while back saying there was high hopes for Wimmer at the club. I think everything points toward him being the natural competition/rotation for Jan.

Because Wimmer won't be EPL ready for at least a year. I expect he'll go out on loan
I'm not sure why you think that. Part of one of the meanest defences in the Bundesliga last year and recently became a full international. Despite his lack of profile he's not some nobody we've plucked from nowhere. He's also built like a brick sh*thouse. He looks more Prem ready than Dier did this time last year and he turned out ok.

Perhaps the pre-season will make things clearer with the Club going with four and selling the fifth or loaning him out. (Of course I'm assuming that Chiriches and Kaboul are totally out of the picture and will be sold).

JJ has explicitly said that we'll be going with five CB's for this campaign. There would be no reason to loan out Wimmer or Dier and Fazio will apparently be given a second chance.

If Toby WAS one of the cabbages, then the other could be Schneiderlin, who are both sort of from the same 'grocer' (Southampton) meaning team / shop window.
Getting Toby may slightly harm our chances of getting Schneidy who JJ dismissed at one point.

Still a possibility tho apparently, if UTD get sidetracked. Would be amazing to get both. We'd have to offer Southampton membership or something at our training facilities by way of thanks.

Oh and they're both cabbages as in brussels sprout (Toby) and french babies found in cabbage patches (Schneiderlin)

Easy!!!

And Fazio was one of the top defenders in La Liga. In 9/10 cases it takes foreign players time to adapt to the EPL.

Hate cryptics, even got banned from COyS, because I expressed my displeasure over one of POTLs
but even I went on to the cabbage patch dolls site to see if any had the same name as a footballer :banghead:

You get banned from there if you don't salute Prof everytime he farts.......its kind of a cross between prison and living in North Korea.

I swear I heard him referred to as Our Dear Leader....:meh:

(I think I just broke CCC subsection 5, paragraph 2 clause 86 with that comment
)

Second chance? He has been fine if not better than fine. Really liked him in the end!
Soldado I would like to say. Personally I think if we got a decent fast winger in he may get more goals (dare to dream and all that!). Really does look extremely promising squad wise and first team wise. I can't remember a deadwood clear out like this for a long long time! Really must believe in pochettino which is good to hear and hopefully see.

What CB shares the same agent as McCarthy. That's where to start I reckon!

I fully agree with you but this is not the opinion of most spurs fans regarding Fazio :)

Not saying he's gonna slot in right away and be perfect. Just to immediately say he's not ready and needs to be loaned isn't really based on anything. If we'd loaned Dier without giving him a chance to play last year that would've been a disaster.
