That probably went out the window when the pound dropped 20 cents on the dollar last week. The currency is very much devalued. Levy's gonna wait a bit to make any purchases from outside England.

The forecast is for the pound to drop further over the remainder of this year. There doesn't seem to be much point in waiting till August I'm afraid. Brexit is going to be a long-term negative impact rather than a short-term shock.

Fortunately Europe doesn't deal in the US$. The £ did fall against the € but not by as much as against the US$. Joe Lewis, by all accounts, made his money on currency transactions so I would hope that he would have used his expertise last week as well.

His agent will convince him to sign for Palace, ensuring a nice signing on fee for both.
Cut to a year's time, when he's used Palace as a stepping stone to a UK CL team, and same agent gets a nice cut of another deal!

Unfortunately that's the way they play the transfer market these days. How I miss the 60s and 70s when transfers were straightforward. Would love it when the parasites are banned but that day will not come.

Judging by JJs recent update on Janssen I got a feeling he felt we were pushing on with Janssen, but judging by todays Michy links/developments he may believe something is actually happening.
