yeah and as Vardy has turned le arse down it could well be them
From what I have seen of VJ I am not at all impressed if he is the alternative. I find it hard to see me being wrong if it happens. I can accept it not being Bats, but not him as an alternative.

I really hope it's Janssen and Sanabria.

Slightly confused why we would be seeking a young keeper since we have McGee and that blonde lad that are both supposedly highly rated by poch. Maybe just not enough first team experience for him to trust them.

Just to add a little re Bats....

Asked my mate what the situation was and I have just had a text back. "Three teams are now up and around OM's asking price and we are not one of them. This is no longer just a case of fending off West Ham".
This is exactly what I predicted would happen.

Too many teams would come in and either pay the asking price or start a biding war and regardless of whether Bats wants us, he'll be pushed to move to one of the others. He'll probably be further swayed by a better wage package than our offer as well.

It's too bad, but the good thing is that we can move on to different options like Janssen and haven't waited too long to the point those other options had already secured moves elsewhere.

McGee is hit or miss, can be very good, but also makes some horrendous mistakes, especially with distribution.

Glover is highly rated, but he had one heck of a season to forget last year. His poor outings outweighed his good ones.

I think Juve entering the fray was the killer. They'll match, or at least get closer to what West Ham are offering than we will, and despite the fact Batshuayi has allegedly made it clear he only wants us, I reckon Juve is a far better proposition than West Ham, enough to get him to agree.
This latest ITK does at least make some sense of the sudden upturn in stories surrounding Janssen bids, and Sanabria interest. Wouldn't be stunned to see those two signed, as the two forwards ITK suggested we were looking for. There was some suspicion one would be an out an out CF, the other more of a WF with pace, but maybe there is a slight change in approach, or belief one of Janssen or Sanabria can operate wider. All other media links surrounding AM/WF have gone quiet, Bouffal, Promes etc.
We do have Njie and Son who have pace, and Pritchard who has some craft about him. Maybe see how they go this summer first. There could be some possibility that Sanabria, who looks fairly quick, being used as a JRod style WF, supporting striker.

We've made 3 bids for Janssen but does anyone know how long it was between bids? Are we talking days, weeks?

I'm won't be that disappointed if we get Janssen and Sanabria for the same fee combined as OM are holding out for on Batshuayi. Batshuayi has more dynamism, I agree, but Janssen just looks ruthless, a clinical finisher who will score goals wherever he goes. He has stepped up this season to the Dutch top league, and finished top scorer, despite not being at one of the traditional big 3. Then, just for those that question how true a reflection the Dutch league is, he has transferred that scoring form to Internatonal stage too. That tells me there is no reason whatsoever he can't do the same for us.
Sanabria, top U20 scorer in Europe, despite playing in a struggling team. Probably a bit more of a punt, but you've got to have faith in the scouts and how Poch feels he can manage/improve these players within his system.
If the club feel Batshuayi isn't worth the fee being asked, then so be it. At least this summer we appear to have alternative targets that are actually being worked on, as opposed to the Berahino saga last year. ITK has suggested other options were being worked on in the background, ready to pull the trigger once a decision was made.

Thank you for the info. I remember Glover had a rough season, but I had only seen good from McGee. Figured with the new contract and all Poch must've really seen something.
