Sanabria is a big kid. He has body strength and tenacity. My opinion is he would do well here. But I do like the look of all three and think they would all be successful here

nah i'm going to come out and say it I personally believe janssen would fail big time, I seriously don't rate him, yeh I can admit his goal scoring record this season has been impressive but I really believe he isn't a footballer that would improve us or even the bench.

Just seen this:

James Shorthouse @J7Shorthouse
@jetsetyid possible we'll sign Jansenn and Sanabria or would it be one or the other (if any)?

The original JJetset
@J7Shorthouse not both
I dont like this "not both"

We need a "both" plan

Completely agree. All the talk has been of two forwards coming in. Janssen and Sanabria seemed a decent pair of options, Janssen marginally ahead of Sanabria in his experience and progression to be the natural Kane alternative option, but Sanabria on a significant enough rise to be able to make an impact. Sanabria looks to have a slightly more rounded skill set that could have seen him utilitised in the Wide Forward/Support role that Poch had J-Rod playing at Southampton.
Signing both made sense. Only one or other less so. Can only assume there's another option we aren't yet aware of, as generally the ITK was quite unanimous on two forwards.

Stepping away from Batshuayi, who is slightly more experienced and with the all rounder skills, made sense if we were signing both Janssen and Sanabria for a similar fee.

I'm fine with it being Janssen or Sanabria. It'd be impossible to balance the squad and keep everybody happy with 3 strikers. We still need space in our squad for an AM to give Eriksen competition for his place and having 3 strikers would make that difficult to facilitate.

May be in the minority here, but i'd be delighted if we have decided against spending an absolute fortune on Bats. £30m+ transfer fee and potentially the highest (or one of) paid player in the squad? Nah you're alright.

Cant remember who said it but, Janssen/Sanabria are the exact type of player who go to West Ham/Southampton/Leicester etc and tear it up and we all complain that we didnt take the punt. This is our model. Its worked well the last few years and the one year we shifted policy it didnt go too well. We have to find value out there, it really is that simple.

Wanyama, Janssen, Sanabria potentially, all for what, £40+ odd million? I know what id rather.

If we are not signing more than one in any case of Janssen/Sanabria/Batshuayi, I really hope it's due to allocating funds for other purchases too. Batshuayi is one thing, but I can't understand why we would advance talks with Janssen and Sanabria, and not get both unless we need the funds for other dealings.

Wanyama is an astute signing. True, not a world class superstar, but very intelligent bit of business. £11m in today's market, for a 24/25yr old Prem proven player, in a position we needed cover, who the manager has worked with previously and as such knows his strengths, weakness and mentality, it's a no brainer. Having Wanyama also allows Dier to cover Toby, without weakening the midfield balance.

So, shifting forward to CF. Batshuayi is obviously a more ready made alternative to Kane, but if he's proving too expensive in terms of fee and wages, then we stick to the framework that's got us this far. If the scouts, and more importantly the manager, feel Janssen is an equally able player, and he's gettable now, then so be it. If Janssen and Sanabria are gettable, and we feel that gives us greater variation, fantastic.

I've known we would not go for Batshuayi and Janssen.

I see lots of recent reference to us not going for Sanabria and Janssen. What has informed that thinking? We willing to pay £25 million last season on Berahino why could we not afford that for both Janssen ans Sanabria?

Probably the fact that JJ has said we're not getting both.

Not much ITK, is there? I was expecting to Mason, Benteleb and Onoha to have been shipped out by now.

He is the last on the list for me, and I would probably be more disappointed we didn't get either of Sanabria or MB. Even so, VJ would fill a need for us, and I think he would do it well.

Are both the threads on Quincy Promes open? One thread per player, that was my rule when all this started 10 years ago. If one is deleted, please don't let it be the one where I posted my joke.

Thank God you mention Onoha. I thought for a minute you were referring to Onomah, and if so you need to see a quack.

Ha ha, trolled for a spelling mistake, some things don't change on here, do they?
