hertyid on coys: SB has been off the list since the summer really. We signed Son and Clint for big money and not really clear how SB would fit in now. He's not a Kane replacement, we have pace and trickery from the flanks, we have a 4-2-3-1 formation in our blood, there is balance. Furthermore, the word from the Midlands is he's become a walking disaster zone - unfit, disruptive, overweight, not turning up to training, mouthing off to coaching staff. Idiot. And not the kind of player MP wants at Spurs.
With Benteke scoring again at Anfield I'd be surprised if they were interested. Likely he will end up at a team spending big to try and stay up.

Actively seeking a buyer means lowering your asking price until you find one. I don't believe for a second Lewis is doing that, nor do I believe that the value of the club is likely to fall any time soon. He might well have put it out that he wants £800 million (say) to sell up but I can't see how that would affect what we are prepared to pay for cover for Kane.

Last Jan we bought Alli and loaned him back, I'd really like to see us do a similar deal this year with one or more of the most promising players from the lower leagues. Other than Dembele have we been linked with any other Championship / league players ?

If the stadium cost 400m, it will be worth much more when built. Plus training ground. Plus squad value, plus intangibles, plus increased future earnings.

I reckon they would ask in region of 1 to 1.2 billion. not bad return really.

edmonton: I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't sign anyone. Spoke to someone about what I thought the the safe topic of the obvious need for cover for Harry and even on this my expectations were clearly being managed.
