Very obvious there was going to be less money to play with if HK staying (and it’s great he is).

Overall with GK, RB, CB, MF (loaned back), RW signed I’m happy, plus getting some deadwood with big wages off the books. Would be great if we could get one of Serge or Doherty out in final hours.

The Goat post says it all. I’ve been skeptical of this new version of Levy since the managerial appointment farce, and it’s bearing out to be true. Why can’t the little bastard leave alone? He knows fuck all about football and just manages to piss off and isolate everyone around him

Ok time to log off and come back at 11 just in case. As much as I am pissed off as well the sun will still come up tomorrow we will still have had a good start to the season and Emerson, Romero and Skipp will all have strengthened our first team with a very good chance that Gil will as well and we also have Harry Kane still and Son on a long contract. I am pissed off that Levy has got involved as per the goat and stopped Adama which I believe would have been huge for us but reading everyone meltdown and go on as if the world has ended is tedious and not good for anyone's mental health.

Maybe now we can stop with all the 'bed wetter' comments and the 'wait till things are done' rinse and repeat messages. It was obvious how this was going to go and it happens pretty much every window for us. Some people will paint everything in a really positive light as they always do but the fact remains we are probably still not quite strong enough in defence, lacking in midfield especially a creative player, we have inconsistant wing forwards and once again have failed to bring in a backup to Kane. New DOF but same old feeling/excuses unfortunately. We never go that extra mile to really kick on and compete and its so disappointing to feel this way constantly.

If budget is available whats the problem in sanctioning the deal ?
Player wants to come - FFS, this is what I hate about our club.

Took him about a month to undermine a new manager AND a new DOF he's supposedly wanted for 10 years.

That must be some kind of record.

I wouldn't be surprised if Paratici is already starting to get pissed off a little bit because of that. Ffs, Levy will just always succeed in disappointing us.

So Levy thinks we have enough attackers but is more than happy to sign another full back. Why doesnt he let the football experts do their jobs.

So disappointing. Yet so typically Tottenham.

The signings we have made are a range of good potential for the future (Gil/Gollini/Sarr) to superb for now (Romero).

But without resolving some deficiencies in the starting 11.

We were told that the defence was going to have significant investment and I suppose Romero and Emerson have now given us that. Ok, maybe we didn't need another centre back, although I do believe a Lacroix or Torres would have given us a centre back pairing up there with the best, but we certainly could have then focused in the creativity in the team.

Gil is an exciting player but who knows how long he'll take to adapt or if he'll even have an effect this season? We can't put all our faith in him if Kane and Son get injured.

Certainly can't put all our faith in Scarlett, an 18 year old, if that does happen. Bergwijn and Lucas are not quite doing enough, so if they don't put in good performances who do we turn to on the bench?

Skipp will be a solid player and has done great but him and Hojbjerg will tire if they are asked to play week in week out.

Lo Celso is not going to appear much til Xmas, so once again we are waiting for him to build rhythm and form. Ndombele, who knows what we'll get out of him.

It's just typical Tottenham to have glaring weaknesses in the squad or put a heavy reliance on players who are either inexperienced or haven't been doing it. Clubs with bigger ambition wouldn't do this, they'd make sure positions are filled - on to the next one.

If we couldn't bring in a MF and Ndombele was absolutely staying, I think it was imperative to bring in Traore or an attacker who can open up spaces. By not doing so, we will be easier to defend against and more predictable.

Nuno's coaching will fix a lot but he won't have all the answers himself. He really need another key in the final third.

This is why Kane is justified when he believes the ambition isn't there.
