I’m waiting for some spin from Levy

“We had to be careful with money as keeping Harry here (who doesn’t want to be) on a new 600k a week / 20 m re-signing bonus has impacted our funding somewhat. Having a firing Harry is like new signing in itself”

etc etc etc.

in other news Harry Winks is still in gainful employment as Spurs player.

"Refuses to consider moving on Bergwijn to free up space/finances."

If Nuno was so keen to replace Bergwijn, I suspect he wouldn't have started him 4 times in the opening 15 days of the season. Selections suggest other attacking options, who there has been no ITK/rumour of us trying to moving on, are behind him in the pecking order so would logically be moved on before him. Not sure what I'm missing...
The ITK suggesting firm interest in Bergwijn.

These are the sort of posts to piss people off. No need.

So when people complain early they're told to wait until it's over, one it's effectively over they're told it's not the time to gloat?

For the record, I've got all my "I told you so" posts lined up ready to go :p

Thing that pisses me off the most is we’ve had a good start we’re sat top & have a positive bounce around the place & momentum is key & the club/levy has the chance to add to the positivity & fill everyone with a real belief we’re moving forward & putting the last 18 month shit show behind us. 1 or 2 in today would really add to that momentum & get everyone bang up for the season.
But yet again levy has sucked the life out of us & we seem to be settling for the bare minimum.

happy deadline day from valenciayid: For the first time in many years DL can have a lay in on deadline day.
Tucked up in bed with his Spurs onesie on and his left thumb in his mouth, confident in the knowledge that The Don has got this
Enjoy the day or will you
As things are i dont think another CB is on the cards. We now have Romero too remember
Oh the little bald **** is awake alright

To those who are asking who will play in cups...

I am convinced all eggs in one basket , that is PL and CL qualification. We will play the B team in cups - template is already set in not flying the main XI for the away leg vs Pacos. If the B team gets to knockouts, may be will bring in the big boys.

Otherwise, I am sure, our focus is only PL ..especially with the start we have had
If so - big mistake by someone.

We can win the ECL - but not if we send the same squad we sent to Portugal for the first leg. Its important that this team learn the value of winning, and that does not happen by punting on various competitions.

Those questioning why we've signed another RB over attacking options..... From what others are saying, this will become apparent in the coming weeks. Probably a pivotal signing long term.

Tottenham Hotspur will be playing Three Five Fucking Two

I'm guessing it's 3 at the back with more emphasis on the attack coming from the width.

All of us early bedwetters have gotten over it, and already changed the sheets. The rest of you are going to have to lie in it for the rest of the day!

I'm not the biggest fan of Adama but I really don't think £45m is *that* bad. Dan James just went for £30m ffs.

If Nuno really wanted him and Paratici and Hitchen were happy with the deal then I really don't understand Levy's thinking here. It's not like we've got a huge net spend already or anything either, our wage bill is still smaller than it was last season.

The difference is that Dan James gives Leeds a player that fills the HG spot witch we have seen adds as much as the player is worth. 45m£ on Adama would be in the same category of punt when Paratici bought a 15pound overweight higuain for 100m at age 29

The «thats all folks» came really early this year. We have normally at least been lead to believe that we have been scrambling much closer to the deadline. If it is indeed the case that Levy has put his foot down on more transfers, because he is satisfied with the squad, that is absolutely terrible. We need another forward option, and ideally another midfielder.

Ah well, lets at least hope we can move on some of Aurier, Doherty and CCV over the next few hours.

I don't get this club, build a world class stadium but only builds a squad to challenge for europa league.

Even more amazing is Levy somehow think because we were top of the league after a poxy 3 games after three 1 nil wins, we are alright. Also even more bizarre is he thinks we are creating enough chances. We aren't at all. The guy continually shows how clueless he is about football. We genuinely will never win anything with him at the helm.

I'm still confused. You give the DOF a budget, so, as long as he stays within it, there's absolutely no reason to override how he spends it. Paratici would not have been ready to pull the trigger on Traore if it was going to cost above what is available to him. I must be missing something here.
