Someone asked if there was any other clubs with just one striker, so I answered, I'm not making any comparison.
Dont worry about it mate. West Ham are our rivals, having finished above us last season and all. And they look like they might keep up the momentum. Don't take a tack of notice of the juvenile deluded on here who think we're competing with the likes of city and Chelsea.

Is it bad of me to say I’m actually pretty pleased with this window?

No, I think it's a good window and Paratici did some good work, maybe 8 out of 10. Adding Traore would be so fun though and would had made it a 10 out of 10.

However if we had oil daddies or income like Man Utd or Liverpool ... then I guess we still have positions to fill to guarantee a top 4 challenge and the window is a sad 6 out of 10.

What fucking moron Sky Sports executive thought to himself, "Who could we possibly bring in for Deadline Day who's an expert in transfers?"

Only to come up with the answer, "Sam fucking Allardyce!".

To be honest the reaction on here is a bit irrational. If you look at our potential starting XI now, it has improved over the last two summers from where we were.

1. Lloris (I hate his kicking but he saves us points)
2. Emerson or Tanganga (definite upgrade)
3. Reguilon (solid upgrade)
4. Romero (future star IMO)
5. Sanchez / Dier (not a fan of Dier but DS looks good)
6. Hjobjerg (Great signing)
7. Skipp (developing into a top 6 player)
8. Alli (?he returns to form)
9. Son
10. Kane
11. Lucas (most improved player at the club)

then add

12. Gollini
13. Gill
14. Bergwijn
15. Lo Celso
16. Scarlett
17. Devine
18. Ndombele
19. Winks
20. Sessengnon

That is 7 players added to the squad in the last two summer windows, plus the addition of academy players. If you add in the previous summer that is 10 players added over 3 summers.

Teams don’t get built in 1 or 2 windows. I would have loved another attacking option in Martinez or Traore but when it comes to the huge sums of money concerned, Spurs can’t make decisions they might regret. For what it’s worth I think Gill is an absolute star in the making, there is 1/2 a chance Spurs have the next David Silva there! With Sarr the team rebuilding could be set for the next 4-5 years.

People on here saying Spurs have not been good this season, I have to disagree we could have easily scored 3 on Sunday, yes it is not the free flowing football we saw under peak Poch, but he took 1/2 to 3/4 of a season to shape the team. Nuno has my 100% support, I think the team will become more progressive and we will see players return to form, ones that a lot of us had previously written off! People forget how bad Rose, Dembele, Walker and Jan were sometimes under AVB and Gillet Tim! The same could happen again for Alli, Sanchez and Bergwijn.

The biggest worry for me and everyone I think today was that Levy was intervening on football issues, by refusing to sanction the departure of Berg. That is seriously concerning. Is Berg another one who Levy seems to rate for some unknown reasons? I think most football people are the club harbour concerns that he won't make it here.

The little bald clown, as we all knew, would never be able to relinquish control completely. It's only taken a matter of weeks, and the first sign of when push comes to shove, and he steps in and exercises his control. I suspect Paratici won't last long here, just like all the other DOFS.

How Paratici can be MD of Football but Levy overrules him on football matters is just so depressing.

Thanks for that. Feel much better now.

You say this as though it's 100% fact. We don't know anything for sure.

What ever happened to the ITK that we’ve had Aouar agreed for a month and the 4 deals we can sanction at anytime! We will never learn whilst Levy signs it off

It's not even that, it's all the commerical deals (stadium naming, etc) that rely on us being a CL club.

I found out the value of the Kumho deal the other day - secured when we were a CL club and since continued. It was not blockbuster money that’s for sure and not much more (if at all) than we would command not being in the CL.

You are spot on, we will soon see if it’s true no DOF on earth will stay in the job. To me it’s double edge sword. For month and month we been given so much information which changed in matter of minutes ??‍♂️??‍♂️??‍♂️

This… its baffling. Hopefully soon we will get some spicy itk about whats going on behind the scenes, i can imagine Paratici being quite pissed of with DL as things stand.

Disappointing. Hopefully with hindsight this turns out to be a mistake avoided (Barkley) rather then an opportunity squandered (Grealish) but the real issue is Levy seemingly wasting time and resource which could have gone elsewhere had he ruled Traore out sooner.
Anyhow we can all forget this soon and focus on supporting the team. Still positive about the window and direction of the club overall. COYS

Levy seems like he wants to do/pay the bare minimum to get into the top 4. As soon as we are in a position to kick on he pulls the plug without fail.

We will struggle to reach the top 4 this year an once again it will be on him. 40 million for Adama seems pretty fair when Dan James is 30 million. He just can't let go.

It's just sheer disappointment this time. The way Kane went about things is terrible and he was a prick. But can you blame him? Levy talks the talk but never wants to pull out his wallet at the vital times.
